  1. Just this past weekend a guy asked me what the 1125R was and I said, 'a Buell,' and he said, "Oh, well that's not a sportbike then." I had the saddle bags on, so I just replied, 'yeah, it's practically a cruiser with the saddle bags, steering damper, and tank grips.'

  2. The physics make what he was trying to do virtually impossible.

Even if the bike hadn't plowed him forward, he was holding onto the bars. The rear wheel isn't connected to the bars by any laterally rigid object.

The best he could have hoped for was the rear tire stepping out to one side as the bike rotates at the steering head, around the front wheel.

More likely, he would have created a stationary tank-slapper as the bike bounced back and forth between the steering stops.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. By the way, I was amusing myself by quoting a post from the pre-repost thread. I thought some may get the dejavu effect. :)

  3. ... The No licenses on the other hand also pressed the issue.

I think it's odd that so many people without licenses get into accidents. It seems to be a trend among the really bad drivers.

  4. Ftfy

Drunkenly called the first guy I ever dated for a ride since I couldn't get ahold of a taxi and didn't feel like walking 10 miles to get home. Thank god he didn't pick up and I was able to get a cab.

I got your call. I was too busy watching tv to pick up the phone. :)

  5. I may have to get one of these. I never lost my wallet riding but cell phone, keys, work badge all have bit the dust.

I have one, and it seriously is thinner than a normal wallet. The only thing is that if you have about 13 cards (speedway, library, ymca, credit, etc) it won't have as much room for cash (maybe 4-5 bills), but I still love it for how organized it is.
