Well I just spent about 10 minutes digging spitwad out of my mirror....and I just might be a paranoid dumbass that covered up a light sensor. Wouldn't have known otherwise, thanks for the info Scruit!

My cell phone camera is recessed and a PITA to get the lense clean of the pocket lent... and it would make it harder to cover up the mirror cam with beads, fuzzy dice, air fresheners, bracelets etc.. it would protect the lense from being scratched..

I bet its up to the officer...whatever ticket generates the most revenue....err, I mean, whatever is "in the publics best interest"

Mines a 2002. It doesnt have the seat sensors. Just the key switch in the dash to disable the passenger airbag.

For some reason his track bike reminds me of one of those trikes with the outhouse made onto the back of it..

Why would their be two light sensors? My mirror works fine with the spitball in there. Compass dims at night and the mirror auto-darkens. I covered the one facing out and the mirror dimmed like it does at night. I looked for that OnStar commercial for nearly half an hour. I really wish I could find it now. There are two young women sitting in the car and the footage has a time stamp along the bottom. Like a security camera would. And camera prospective matches about where my spitball is....I tried to dig the spitball back out but couldnt. I might try again later, now that you posted the info about the flashlight..... Just a side note, I'm not paranoid "big brother" is watching my every move...I'm paranoid Joe Blow at OnStar is bored at work and just scrolling through various vehicles cameras...maybe trying to find vehicles with hot women in them to get off to......because its something I would probably do if I had that job..

Nope. That one is facing out the windsheild on the drivers side of the mirror. I plugged that one and the mirror stayed dim...

Even when they clock you going 107.....

The first OnStar "push the blue button" contest commercial, about 1/2 way through. There are two girls in a car and there is a time stamp running across the bottom. I think it was footage from this camera. Sure looks like a camera behind my spit ball... I can't find that commercial now either. Its what made me really look at my mirror. It would help if someone stole your vehicle. They would have the suspect on film......all in the name of security of course.

I've never subscribed to OnStar. I've had my truck about 8 years. I plugged off the camera in the rearview mirror with a piece of paper (aka spitwad) a long time ago. I've noticed the system does a self check an awful lot. Like it "sees" the camera to the cabin area is inop and it's trying get it to work again. I always think someone at OnStar is just going through the motions testing random vehicles and spying on people to entertain themselves till the end of the workday... Yet another reason why I prefer to ride then drive.. by the time you ping the gps in my dinosaur of a cell phone on monday...its thursday..

Welcome. I've rode through Nerk alot this season. Even figured out how to stay on 13 North without getting ran over...

Good thing I took so many pictures. Only a few turned out well. It was a decent ride. The rain sucked... You two don't make any other plans on 9/11/2021, we'll do it again.

Sounds like its just the two of us riding out? :usa: There are riders on another forum that will be there, so we won't be the only bikes there. They aren't in Ohio so we won't be riding out with them. Sounds like there's going to be a lot of people there.

Alright, eff it. I'm going to try it. Forecast shows 50% chance of rain. I'm going to be at either the park and ride or the Shell station at: 10583 Jacksontown Rd, Thornville, OH at 10 am. Bing maps shows its 216 miles from the gas station. I'm going to take 70 to 119 to 30 and down Lambertsville road into Shanksville PA. How many times I stop depends on the rain. I will stop about 1/2 way regardless.. Unless its raining dildos and rubber fists, its on..

Now that you mention it, I might be down for it. What time you heading out? I'd rather not run the turnpike, rather go 70 to 30 and then down... Its supposed to rain too. I got zip lock bags for my phone and stuff..
