Great event to watch and if you have a chance to make the LS Fest, you should. Great event with something for everybody. Now, I know some people will get all up in arms, but yes, these are all "street cars"

You can make them street legal and get plates for them, I've seen altereds do it. People tend to get really butthurt over the words "street car" it seems. A street car is just that, something that can get tags and be insured to drive on the street. Now, how WELL your car drives on the street is up to you. That is why True Street has the cruise, that keeps a "street legal" race car from getting in. I have seen first hand guys try to sneak something like that into a True Street race and end up getting stuck on the side of the road

That is going to be the plan for the True Street Shootout I'm not sure if it will be a full 30 mile cruise, but it will be enough to keep the race cars out. The rules will be very close if not directly the NMCA True Street rules, except unlike *some* of the NMCA races these rules will be enforced. After I get back from the race in GA next week I'm going to really start cranking on this and hopefully we will have hard dates for the track days as well. Bottom line is this will seperate they keyboard tough guys and facebook fast people from those who actually do work.

Have you ever been to a race that has a true street program (NMCA/NMRA/LSx Shoot Out)? The rules will be pretty much based on those and will be simple. If you don't think you can run with the big dogs its ok to stay in the yard.

I used to help run CRCRC, got out of RC racing to play with big cars and avoid all the drama. I have a pretty much new SC10 sitting in my basement I have run 1 time, just no motivation to go race.

I was worried about that PG-13 rating, looks like my fears are true. Just another example of how far this country contines to fall...

I will have to do some digging around for rules but I can already see we will need at least 2-3 classes. I would like to do a True Street shootout that includes a 20 mile drive then racing. After I get back from GA I will dig into this more but I'm sure some people won't like the rules and that is fine, you can either watch, bitch or race.

After the dates are locked in details will be worked out. No matter what is said or done people will cry, bitch, moan, and whatever. We are looking to have a "true street" type thing and maybe something that geared more towards track only cars. I've got a few people who are a lot smarter than me I plan on asking input for to figure it out.

After the dates are set for our track days there are plans to bring back some of "the lists". No excuses, no bullshit, bring your junk to the track or go sit in the kitchen with the rest of the women :fuckyeah:

For my fulltime gig I currently work in the legal industry for a service company. My side gigs include doing freelance writing for PowerAuto Media under several of their titles. I also now started doing work Source Interlink under High Performance Pontiac and GM High Tech Performance. My latest great idea was to start my own apparel company (Pavement Mafia Apparel), that has been an experience to say the least…. Education wise I have an undergrad in Business with a concentration in Management Information Systems. I finished my post graduate work (MBA) back in 2012. I’m stuck in this company on a zero growth career track with all these fancy degrees. Just try to stay positive because it really is not easy. I’ve been trying to get a better job and all I get are “we have decided to go in a different direction” e-mails when it comes to what I apply for. I will keep my ear open for you and let you know what I find.
