  1. Are you the guy from Arizona? That was sent a while ago. I remember putting the label on and was confused why someone ordered OR decals that lives in Arizona

Yours will take longer to ship than these other guys. Email me order number and address to abdecal13@gmail.com and I can make sure the shipping address I have is correct.

    Yes sir that's me.

  2. Finally got some work done replaced the sprockets (-1,+2) and chain (520), and got the headlights mounted and the gauges mocked up. Took it for a short ride up the road its almost road ready. I've got Aztec8 lights on it.

Hopefully my pics aren't too small to see.

  3. So I got one hole helicoiled no problem. But turns out I'm not the one who screwed em up. The one tab for the lower bolt hole that was damaged just fell off when I tried to brush some of the stripped threads out. After a closer look I noticed the other damaged tab /hole had been re welded on. I'm assuming this happened when the chain came off on the previous owner. I've tried jb weld and let it sit for 24 hours but it won't hold when I start to drill to put the helicoil in. So I'm going to have to get it re welded also. But I was able to get it together enough to go up the street about a quarter miletoday.

  4. If u push on the left bar that means your pushing to the right I thought, thus making your wheel go right.and your bike go left :dunno:

This contradicts everything else.that has been said

His statement is wrong. Read mine.

  5. You mean like bashing him and his race shop?

I don't remember reading about anyone here bashing his shop in this thread but I think the fucking shifter falling off says a lot about the shop. Can't even keep his bike running right I'd totally trust you guys with my bike.

Best of luck man. I didn't wanna go there but your buddy came in stiring shit up.

  6. That sucks, hate to hear anybody getting anything stolen.....but I have to question the thieves mental state on this one......I mean, c'mon! Stealing a Katana?! Thats hard up right there:nono:

I do hope your pal gets his ride back, and better yet that they bust the crooks over it

The thieves don't know the see a bike that appears to be fast and think dollar signs.

  7. My last try.... By push left, it means push on the LEFT BAR, (which is like steering right) and the bike then leans ad turns right ....

    -VanDy

Don't you mean the bike goes left? If you point the front wheel right the bike goes the opposite direction, hence the counter in counter steer. The easiest way to experience and grasp the idea is to be in an open area where you can get a little speed. Get up to a decent speed only hold the left handle bar (so you don't manipulate the throttle by accident). Only holding one bar let's your brain register what's happening. Gently and evenly apply a forward slight pressure to the bar you notice the bike starts to lean and go slight left. The more you push the farther / harder it will go left. It doesn't take much. Then straighten up and pull the left bar towards you in the same gentle manner. You'll notice the bike goes right.

  8. I got some seat time in today and practiced some of the info given here(b4 I could only think about it and not.actually practice it, but now.that I have practiced some of the tips given im starting to understand them more) it went pretty well, except for counter steering. Im not sure if im doing.it wrong or that I still dont get how it works

I Pushed left(foward, away from.me )on my right bar with my right hand and my bike went left(not right) as I figured it would cuz the wheel.was pointing left. Im not trying to BS around with the counter steering as im TRYING to understand it. Was this done correctly or not? If it wasnt done correct(dont think it was) then im back to square 1 on counter steering :(

It doesn't work for you because you can't ride.

  9. The lights were like this b4 the wreck, im thinking the previous owner wired it wrong? all 4 lights flash when I hit the signal and the indicator blinks solid green(instead of half green)

I may have to get up a little earlier so i.have more time(like what lil sleep I get though) cuz I have to have the blinkers working b4 my skills test(I think?) Ive seen some DIY videos on taking off the fairings and installing flush mounts and integrated lights. I am not the greatest at wiring, but I do know my way around a diagram(although its b/w)

I may have to hold off.on.checking for dmg till another date(or pay someone to do it) if you think it will take too long for me to do it in my time frame. Also I will be doijg this by myaelf without any.kind of stand, so im hoping when I go to.get.the.fairings back on I wont hit too much of a snag.

So you were riding without turn signals? You must be an expert.

  10. I so wanna give you more rep imprez, that's a perfect gif image for Brians rant!

Brian, don't blow that head gasket, just think of all the riders out there every day who are in the same boat he is in right now. But just like someone who has money to buy a gun he assumes because he can fire it he is ready for combat. I am at least painting a pretty picture in my head of him at least having protective gear on since there was no mention of road rash on his ass from low siding.:D

I give this thread **** stars. It has drama, emotions and real life characters. All it needs is a hot female co-star to add that extra drama of what will she look like after the crash and will the leg humpers still care.

He doesn't have any road rash because he just fell over at 10mph.

  11. Well, exactly.. The guy training needs HANDS on experience to get the hang of it, being told or shown how to do something once isnt easy to catch on tobwhen alot of infobis being put out. Just like I know what ur saying, I can read, but as far as what.u are talking about I might not have a clue. the only way to gain and retain info is through praftice,, then it becomes apart of your daily routine. Just like when nubs drive a stick they know the motions, but still have no.clue how to properly use the motions.

Im a good trainer, wether it be work or not. I repeat myself over and over and over and over and over.... Even if I feel they have it.down I still repeat myself. I make sure someone has it down b4 im done training. But sometimes people do have to do things hands on.a.few.times.b4 they get.it.down,.telling someone.and showing someone is not gunna make them better if.they have 0 experience, now if someone knows what they are doing and then you just explaine or show.em what to do they can usually pick it up asap.

So basically I can read all I want, watch whatever, take a billion classes and its not gunna do a lick of good. I dont need to understand for example how to countersteer(itd be nice though) to do it, and honestly idk what to think of countersteering after hearing you have to do it to turn, cuz ive never done it(knowingly) and ive made PLENTY of turns just fine.

I get I need msf, but with everyone saying what to do(btw twist of the wrist 2 dont listen to any advice from random people, since some people are content on bringing up that vid)) it just doesnt make sence, obviously I can ride, otherwise I wouldnt of even made it out the driveway, let alone to 350. Obviously I do just fine in the city as thats where I do most my riding, obviously I have the basics of riding down otherwise I wouldnt be able to maneuver the bike... So ill do my thing, you do yours. We all have different priorities and ways of learning, so unless your going to physically show me something in person ill probably have no clue wtf your talking about. And ill continue to do what I feel is right for ke and not what everyone else feels is right for me :)

The bikes NOT going away, not getting put up, and not being sold. It was a slide oh well. And yes the MSF and BRC will be taken EVENTUALLY! But not right now, so when I get free time to go in a parkinglot and practice I will, so for now I will continue to ride my bike as I have been since its fixed now.

Btw for anyone bitching at me who has took the class I can guarentee 90% of you dont follow everything you have learned, which includes speeding on the roads. Thats something that EVERYONE should know about, but yet chooses to ignore along with a few other rules you should know about that most of yall choose to ignore. Sure you may not find speeding a serious risk(I dont) but the truth of it is it can be a serious risk, keyword CAN. Just like me not doing msf right now isnt a serious.risk in the city but it CAN be a serious risk if I get into a situation a cant handle...

Thays how I feel, im not a baby and dont meed to be treated like one. If someone wants to teach me the proper way to do something shoot me a message and ill give you my number and we can practice together(Saturdays only here) if not thanks for the input but im obviously not gunna learn anything from reading, im a hands on person.

This is my point you already know too much to be helped.

You claim you can ride a bike because you made it 600 total miles?

DUDE YOU WRECKED GOING 10MPH! YOU DON'T HAVE A FUCKING CLUE!

But hey keep doing what your doing I tried to help the best I can. Unless you come out to Arizona I can't give you any more help. When you go and mess yourself up my conscience is clear.

  12. again, I wrecked in an area on unfamiliar roads in a sharp turn that was not newbie. ... Shit happens again im not mad bout the wreck and if I had an option to go back and not do that ride I would of still done it. It was a minor slide, not the end of the world. I didnt freak out about it, didnt expect people here to freak out either. Sure I need msf/practice ans whatnot, but you.missed the point of the entire thread o.O I crashed in a month and got my bike fixed up now, didnt quit over 1 lil spill. No biggie and I can promise you I do just fine riding around the city, which im familier with, which ive known for years.

Here's what's up the guys on here are worried by you ignorance. All you've done is show you have no clue about riding. Everyone is trying to decifer what your talking about and give you advice so the next time won't be worse. You think you know more than you actually do and that's where it gets dangerous. We don't won't you to get fucked up that's why everyone is trying to give you advice but its seeming pointless. If you've ever been tasked with training a new person at work you may know how this feels to us. You get the new guy and start telling him the things you've learned through years of experience and they continue to say "i know". At first you think this guys pretty squared away then after awhile you realize they think they know more and aren't listening to what your saying. Your next wreck is going to be worse get yourself educated or stay off the bike. Please we really hate hearing about riders who get hurt.

  13. Honestly, the 250 can corner exceptionally well. In fact, that turn, no bike is going to have a real advantage. It's not a turn where you are going to be able to rail so much faster on a 600 that is heavier, will be at a higher terminal velocity in approach and needing much more braking to get slowed, etc.

The idea is that lighter bikes like the 250 will actually be able to carry higher corner speed in that type of turn than even a 600 RR as you mention.

Take a Moto GP 125. Even skinnier tires than the 250 Ninja has. will rail through a corner as fast or in most cases, faster than a 600 in almost any given turn. Light, high corner speed.

The dirtbike deal is silly in of itself. Same ability rider will go faster on the Ninja vs the knobby bike if taking the corner the same way on each.

I can show you a guy that can rail a scooter through a turn faster than a guy on a liter bike. Ability can make some people look terrible... Point is that what you guys are arguing is moot.

Ninja is a great handling bike. The tires are perfectly fine at a set speed. Will they fail at certain corner speeds? Sure. But that bike can corner like on rails and a lot higher corner speed through something like that turn than a CBR 600 would. And certainly faster than a KLR that is as heavy as a tank.

This was my original statement that started the debate above. The biggest point was the last line. Check out what I stated in the parentheses in the first line.

You need to learn to match engine and tire speed (proper shifting).

As far as the other bikes making it look easy ( I don't think it applies here so much but for the future) your bike isn't really a sport bike. Not trying to be mean but as far as handling goes especially with stock tires it won't stick like a ninja 600 or cbr. I don't know what the suspension on your bike is like but I would guess its slightly lacking. So don't base yours and your bikes abilities off of what other people can do.

The tires on the ninja 250 are a hard compound made for durability the tires on the GP125's are race tires made to stick and have better traction. If tires don't matter why do guys who ride hard spend the money on q2's when avons are so much cheaper. What a person can do on a bike is based on their abilities and the capabilities of the machine. With his abilities + his machine he won't be able to do what an intermediate rider can do on a superior machine. I never said that no rider could out perform someone while on a lesser machine. Are you saying that the same rider can corner equally as well on the ninja 250 with hard tires as a a cbr with a good set of tires? If you ran a ninja 250 down the straight at mid-ohio would you enter the shicane (how ever you spell it) / s curve at the same speed as on a cbr if the both had the tires recommended from the factory? I'm not talking about the speed of the bikes on the straight but after braking.

  14. Also after reading the web page you linked to I think your confused about the 100 miles as it pertains to Border Patrols authority to search. Border Patrol can perform a search with reasonable suspicion with in 100 miles of the border. Beyond that they can perform searches with Probable Cause or perform a Terry Frisk for safety. There isn't a distance limit on the Border Patrols arrest authority within the United States.

  15. You probably sat on a seat manufactured by the company I used to work for, they made seats for the MRAP. Hope your ass was happy that day. :)

According to the DHS's internal rules (http://www.immigrationpolicy.org/just-facts/authority-us-customs-and-border-protection-agents-overview), ICE's jurisdiction extends 100 MILES inland from any international boundary, including both coasts. That boundary covers the entire upper half of Columbus. Yes, the targeted clientele of ICE and CBP aren't US citizens, but they've done WAY more than their fair share of scope creep.

You are confused sir. ICE and CBP are two different things. CBP is Customs and Border Patrol. Customs Officers are the guys at the ports of entry and what is known as the Functional Equivalent of the Border (International Airports). Border Patrol works between the ports of entry. ICE is Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They deal with the people who have gotten past the Border Patrol and Customs And those that have violated their legal status and are going to be deported. Your a little confused about the 100 miles a person found in the United States illegally can be removed from the country without a hearing with a judge if caught within 100miles of the border and has been in the country less than 25 days. It is policy (not law) that someone caught within 100 miles that is here illegally within 15 days sees a judge prior to their removal. You should check out the distance of the Casa Grande Border Patrol Station from the border. If you have access check out the area of responsibility for the Casa Grande or Willcox Border Patrol Station. I know a little bit about this stuff, trust me.
