  1. thats awesome! We actually saw a kid riding one of those in his front yard of one of the little towns we went through riding yesterday. He seemed awfully excited when a bunch of us waved at him

You guys shoulda invited him to the dyno day. I wanna know how much power that things putting out. Lol.

  2. Yes you can last time I checked they go with ihra rules for gear. Your bikes listed above I believe will need cut off switches if you fall off. I think you will need gloves boots and protective jacket maybe pants. It all depends on how fast you run.

  3. Yeah but the roads aren't as nice. If I wanna find some good curves I need to go up into the mountains but I'm not to sure if I'm ready to take the bike that far yet. Not too sure about the reliability.

  4. I got the rc51 street legal, insured and tagged Thursday. I decided its time to take it out. So I rode it into town to fill it up and that's when I remembered that I couldn't tell how fast I was going due to the gearing change (-1,+2). So I just took it kind of easy and filled it up then returned home. I did notice that the exhaust was really loud for being stock and back fired a lot. So I think the previous owner drilled the baffles out. But that's ok because I plan on changing the exhaust. I also noticed theres a lot of intake noise, it almost sounds supper charged. I think its partly due to me removing the "snorkle" thing. I went home and found an excel sheet online that is used to estimate speed after gearing changes. I took off for a ride. At first I took it easy because it hasn't been ridden in three years. But when I opened it up wow it pulled like crazy and suprised me how quick it was for a 12yr old bike. It handled great. To finish this bike I need to get it painted, chop the tail and get the exhaust and a tune done. I can't wait till its done but its already a head turner. People look at it and can't tell what kinda bike it is. It's ugly as can be but it makes it have a trashy hotness to it.

  5. Or when you remove the fairing you can put them back in the hole finger tight. That's what I did to keep the screws in order when I did the fairing swap on my old cbr. But after doing the fairing swap on the cbr I don't want to deal with fairings. They are a pain. That's why my rc51 is a street fighter.

  6. i can't wait to see what kind of hp and torque mine make this will be my first dyno day for me and i am excited

Where is this located and what time is it starting? and how early should i get there to put my name on the list for the dyno?

It's right off of broad past new Rome after you pass the kroger start looking for it on the same side of the street. Get there early and stay late you'll meet a lot of cool people from here.

  7. Holy fucking shit! This thread is a fucking joke. How many on this forum have raced at Atlanta? I'd guess no one has other than Prez. I dont always agree with him but that's saved for different threads. Seriously, if you cant support and encourage the guy then STFU

What does the amount of times someone has raced have to do with them expressing their opinions?

  8. Hey guys you wanna go out to my farm and fondle each other in a tent?

Oh my bad it was your guys' weekly fest.

Its hard to read thru all the BS. All the people on my site know me. we meet once a week every week at sportbike night. I have to watch my words here because i do not know all of you personally. Sorry to not be able to help your bike.
  9. - All the AFJ members are awesome because Brandon can qualify for an AMA race, and all the ORDN members suck because Casper can't? I'm friends with some damn fast guys outside of both groups. By ped's standards, I must be fucking amazing!

Ped and Magley, when can we expect to see the two of you on a race grid? Or do the two of you just like to talk about how great or terrible everyone else rides?

According to the AFJ mentality displayed in this thread if we can't do it better we can't have an opinion. So I guess that means they can do it better than Brandon because they have an opinion.

When did the only thing that mattered about having a passion for motorcycles become being a racer? If you don't race you can't ride and you suck attitude is retarded!

  10. Be a bigger man and just ignore him then.

The deal I was referring to was about the people that think they can do this. You couldn't do the job as a head team tech as well as say, Reuben from 35 Motorsports. But, you are right... He probably couldn't do your job as well as you do it...

The bottom line is that we all have talents, some of us can do a lot of different things. But, as you did with Ped, you got very upset and are lashing out at me saying I am stupid for what I stated. That's not a good way to debate things nor respond. The "you can't do it" was simply the racing part and the comments relating to that.

Again, Ped is a guy that does this a lot. Just ignore him. This thread was and IS about Brandon at Atlanta... Wish him luck and move on. One of the ORD members mentioned things about the racers and the shifter and cutting it. That was a few members actually... So, are ORD members any better with those comments? I was offended and responded... Same as what you felt and did with Ped's comments...

    Relax, man. It's all good.

I just re-read this thread to double check and I didn't see where anyone implied they could do better or said anything negative about Brandon (until Magleys last post). I didn't say you were stupid, especially when it comes to bikes. But since it hadn't been said that someone could do better than him arguing that we can't is as relevant as me saying one couldn't do my job as well as me. It is about him at Atlanta and would be mostly full of better luck next time shit happens posts if ped didn't come over to stir shit. If we were arm chair quarter backing I could understand you being upset. As far as how I feel towards brandon, I wish him the best of luck in his shop and racing. Am I going to buy stuff from him? No I'm going to stick with Hoblick for his customer service. There was a time when I was going to give Brandon my business also but in light of the recent happenings I decided not to. I do support him as a local rider and want to see him do good but I by no means have to. Just because he is doing it doesn't mean we have to support him or shut up. That's what makes sports work is the fans choosing sides.

(reposted because it wouldn't let me edit the post to correct typos)

  12. Wow...

First of all, it isn't as easy as anyone here probably thinks. I laugh as I sit at the races and hear these ass clowns tell everyone they could run just as fast as the last place guy. Riiiiiiiiight...

First of all, there are things that aren't going to pop up in your regional track day. Things like the spark plug issue happens to everyone and isn't due to shit workmanship. Maybe it is. Maybe it wasn't. Who really gives a shit?

Brandon knows my feelings on this ordeal and I think he is doing what each and every guy that owns a sportbike "thinks" they can do or what they wanna do someday. He gets that chance and made the show.

First, you must make it. He did. Then, you must race and finish. He had some bad luck. But, will be back today and probably be fine.

ANY of you - including Ped have zero input in regards to this as you've never been at this level nor been around it. Shit happens. Always does. If it were easy and smooth, everyone could do it... They cannot.

Good luck to Brandon and be safe. All you other guys, just be supportive. I'm not a guy that makes threads to drive attention, but we should be supportive of a local guy doing good like Justin, Worbel and Kerr. All four guys are Ohio boys and are doing well. That should be the focus.

Not about AFJ vs ORD, etc. Your personal opinions are fine and I support everyone saying what they want. But, when it comes to the race side of things, like Ped stated, unless you've done it, unless you've been around it outside of a fan and spectator, you have no idea. None. Be nice or simply shut up.

Oh, and a final note... To the guy that stated something to the thought that the class is not the "good" racers? The kids at the top and really, in the top ten are all solid racers. In fact, the kid in 2nd place is going to probably be the next big thing and he is only 16. I can promise that no matter how billy bad ass anyone on here thinks they are, that kid will wipe the track with your ass and never break a sweat. I have had the honor to have been waxed by him and I can say that he is an amazing rider... Keep Jake Lewis in the back of your mind as you will be hearing it later in years to come...

Also, to the comment that "if he cannot cut, he can't cut it"... He qualified. That's cutting it. Again, if I hear anymore shit from anyone that say the last place guy doesn't deserve to be there or they think they could make the field - I challenge you at any time you feel like you can pull the times, we get you to Mid-Ohio and I will get it set to allow for an open and clean track and give you the same amount of time these guys get to get the times needed. I can promise, you will not get it done. Even with zero excuses and the cleanest and best scenario to getting the fastest lap times... ijs.

Good luck, Brandon. Live the dream, buddy and make it happen. Good luck today!

First off everyone here was being very supportive until brandons buddy ped came along and started talking shit and saying we were bad mouthing his shop here. I just pointed out that it doesn't look to good coming out first race and the shifter falling off when you own the shop. Then peds come back was he'd like to see me do that. Heck i'd like to see a pro racer come do my job bet they can't do it as well as me. So your argument of you can't do it so shut up is stupid. Nothing negative I said was intended towards brandon as my post stated. I've wished him luck since my first post in this thread. It's bullshit that one of his flunkies comes in here and gives us shit when we did nothing negative until after he posted. If brandon doesn't want the negative shit said here maybe he should tell his followers to not start stupid shit.

  13. Smartass, the shifter only fell off because the crew were busy all evening putting a new motor in due to a sparkplug breaking off in the head. I'd like to see what you could do in an AMA garage.

Well I do know that if I were going to open a shop and use it as my race team I'd make sure all my shit was ready to go. Especially the first race, I could understand this happening mid way through the season. But I wouldn't come over here throwing stones if your only argument is I'd like to see you do it. I've gotten over your "prez's" bullshit here as most people on here have as you can see from the posts in this thread. I really don't understand why you wanna get on here and start shit. It just makes all you guys look bad.
