hey guys, sorry i didnt find anyone i kinda looked but didnt really know what i was looking for. i had to start in the instructional group which kinda blew at first but i was with a instructor named julian?? and he really opened it up later in the day for us so we were railin around the track alot blowin by the instructional people. only bad thing was the rest of the instructional people were getting pissed at us i think we passed alot when we shouldnt of. i am not too sure it was my first time out and dont really know the rules. Definately gonna have to do the open session next time. if anyone sees a red daytona 675 thats me! come say hey. i looked and i was the only one with a 675 on saturday. i didnt mind the ledges course, everyone keeps sayin its really bumpy, i didnt notice alot a few times but not much. i just got my suspension set up so maybe that was a helping factor, but anyways im gonna try to be at beaverun and ill definately be at nelson again so if you see the red 675 please come say hey so i can get to know some of you guys!!!

hey all i just found out i was able to do this one tomorrow but the registration is gone for it. does that mean it was sold out or is it just taken down so close to the track day? is there any way to still sign up for this or am i just SOL?

hey guys i just got back from fort hood texas and am up here in eastlake. i have lived most my life down in youngstown so i am really lost when it comes to roads to ride up here. i am gonna hit the nelson ledges trackday this saturday i think but i wanna get the back a few miles on it before then. Anyone down to ride tomorrow? was hopin i could get a few people to meet up with and maybe show me around a little bit? Would love to meet some of you guys and learn the area and good roads to ride at the same time! Let me know if anyone is free for tomorrow or the next day and what time. thanks alot and hope to meet some of you!

hey all should i run beginner stuff for the first times at the tracks when i get up there? i run a solid level 2 pace down here on the 3 texas tracks that i listed. i would post times but it prolly wouldnt help any of you determine where i should be, but a level 2 rider is level 2 anywhere right?

awesome! seems like there is alot of folks on the boards that go to the track. How are the tracks? i think the ones by me will be mid ohio, nelson ledges, grattan, and beaverun. Are they pretty decent tracks? the ones down here in texas are ok. No big name tracks like mid ohio down here. theres Eagles Canyon Raceway(my favorite), Texas World Speedway, and MSR Cresson(very technical). everyone is going to barber next month from here but i will have to miss that one do you guys usually get a big showing from these boards at the tracks?

Hey all! i am finally getting out of the army and i will be heading back to cleveland on august 1st. i am anxious to get out on the track. i did my last track in texas this past weekend at eagles canyon raceway. really fun track!!! i was just wondering what track days were coming up around ohio that everyone is going to? would love to meet some new people and since i will be in ohio a long time hopfully meet some people to pit with at the tracks. i tend to go to alot of them. I am a level 2 rider or intermediate rider not sure how it works up there. i am getting better and faster but still have a ways to go. So if anyone is doing a trackday in the first or second week of august and dont mind a new guy taggin along please let me know i love these things and love making friends to chase around the track!

i know it isnt on the list but i ran a 1:36 at MSR Cresson in texas. Just wanted to contribute to the thread since im not in ohio yet. That is a level 2 time. There are three levels im not quite to level 3 yet they usually run likr 1:25s, but im improving. I will be in Ohio at the end of july so hopfully i can pit with you guys at the trackdays and get some good lines from you all. Cant wait. How are the tracks up there?

i have a 09 675 and i just hit 900 miles i love it! Took it to texas world speedway for a track day last month and it handles awesome! The Diablos that come on it run like glue. Only thing im a fat guy so the windscreen is very low and even when im laying on the tank in the straight there still is alot of wind, but other than that you cant go worng and the bike is sexy as hell!

oh yea i am real use to driving hours to get to a track day lol the closet one is texas world speedway in college station texas which is like 2 hours away. The four i go to is Texas World Speedway, MSR Cresson, MSR Houston, and Eagle Canyon Raceway. Ridesmart is a great organization. Where i will be moving back to i will be about 30 minutes from Nelson Ledges. When did they get a track? I use to go there all the time when i was a teenager hanging out at the quarry and doing..... err.... yea. But im open to traveling about 4-5 hours tops. Also where i am at now they let you corner work and everyday you corner work you get a free trackday. Are there any places like that up there?

hey all! i am currently riding with ridesmart trackday school down here in Texas. I am still in level 1 and learning but im having a blast. I am coming back to Ohio in August and just curious what the good racing schools and tracks are in the Ohio, PA, WV areas are? And what kinda prices they are and if they teach in levels, ect... Let me know whats up there! Thanks guys!

So it was 85 and sunny today. I heard it was kinda shitty and windy in Ohio. That sucks! So i wanted to try and brighten everyone up and i was bored and decided to get some miles on the new Daytona 675. Took all morning to find me a kick ass route to ride. Got all my shit together and gear on and hopped outside to find i have a flat back tire with a nail in it just my luck. So i put enough air in it to get down to the local stealership to buy a new tire and put it on. Of course they dont have any Pirelli Diablo supercorsa in. So now i have a kick ass front tire and a Sporttec1 back tire. Whatever. It works... So i finally get on my ride about 1400 and it was beautiful. Bikers out everywhere and the route i took had me ride over 180 miles round trip and i saw about a dozen cars the whole time. The roads were awesome! twisties everywhere! I rode through Inks Lake State Park i think it was called? Cool ride and just wanted to share it with ya all. Heres the pics i stopped to snap hope you all like em!

i dont know what your price range is but i just got a brand new 2009 with 0 miles on it for 9100 OTD. i prolly overpaid a little but i had to have it as soon as i walked in and saw it. and hell yea,.... its pure sssseeeexxxxyyyyy!!!!

i thought about doing my own services, but this is the first "NEW" bike i have ever bought and the dealer told me i needed the stamp in the service record book for the warrenty. this true?

i stand corrected 500 miles or one month. The one month is almost up so ill definately hit that before the 500 miles

Hey all. I just it 200 miles on the new bike and first service is due at 300 miles. Any idea how much the first service for a 2009 triumph daytona 675 is gonna run me? I call two different places and got two completely different numbers. Just wondering to see if these dealerships down here are out of their mind or not.

lol i am old for the army i am guys in my unit that are 17-21 i am considered the old guy lol. Thanks for all the great suggestions on areas. i am looking up houses to buy/rent in some of them now. Keep the area coming. so far they have all been great!

LOL i am kinda a older guy (31) lol and I have three kids, so I am looking for a area that is safe and kid friendly. I will be going to school for a while and just want to know what areas are good and what areas have gotten bad. it can be a little ways away from downtown but dont really wanna be an hour or so away. i am not trying to live right in cleveland just a nice suburb or small farm town out the way?

Ok, so I get out of the Army in July and I am coming back to Ohio. I have lived in the youngstown area my whole life except for the last 5 years I have been in Fort Hood, Texas. I am going to school full time at Cleveland State University when i get back. Where is a nice area to live in near there? The area doesn't have to be right near there, but not looking to make a crazy 45 minute commute one way every day. Any suggestions? Its been a long time since I been in ohio and im sure places and area have changed some. Thanks for any and all advice!!!
