  1. I didn't ask for any free stuff, the guy simply emailed me afterwards and offered it to me. I was not even really interested in any kind of free stuff. I just wanted my bike back and running again. I thought it was awesome that he would do that. Then on top of it to have no issues as to hooking me up with a $1,500 track suit is what really sold me. He was able to approve work done and then added a extra thank you for being a Triumph customer, sorry for your troubles and time track suit. That's how you get life long customers right there. This is why I had no problems posting my experience all over the different forums I'm on. I have no problem getting the word out that might get them a sale or two.
  2. Hey all! I wanted to share my customer service experience with all of you from Triumph. If any one of you are looking at buying a Triumph or a new bike in general maybe this quick story will help you decide one way or another. Here is my story: I bought a 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 in May of 2012. It ran great and absolutely no problems at all with the bike. In July of this year, when I took the bike out to go to work it started pouring out smoke when I started it up. (There is a story about this posted in the mechanical section already) Come to find out the coolant hose backed off and was pouring onto the headers. I had a recall on the turn signals and the check engine light was on for the exhaust valve. I was kind of pissed off at this point that three separate things are wrong on a bike that is just barely over a year old with just under 2000 miles on it. I did a google search and asked around and found the email address of someone high up in Triumph customer service. I emailed and I got a response within an hour saying that they would take care of everything on the bike, not to worry. All of the work was done to the bike and when I called the shop they were having trouble getting the exhaust valve replacement covered under warranty because it was too soon. I emailed the same person and within 45 minutes he emailed back saying that he just approved the warranty work. I went and picked up the bike a couple days later and received an email from the customer service guy telling me to pick out some accessories for my bike or some riding gear for my troubles. I really didn't need anything, but I took a look at the triumph shop sight. All I really need is a track suit and figured there was no way they would give me one of those. They are $1,500. I emailed him saying all I really needed was a track suit and the one I looked at was $1,500 and threw my size in just in case =). Not even 10 minutes later the customer service guy emailed and said the suit was in the mail, make sure to email him and let him know how it fits. This to me is customer service that you just don't see anymore. This is my second Daytona 675 that I have bought brand new, and this kind of customer service has made me a Triumph customer for life. If any of you are thinking of getting a Triumph and read this, I hope my experience with the company helps your decision. I could not be any happier. Here is a link to the suit that they are sending me. http://shop.triumphmotorcycles.com/Suits/id-0089AS1/AS1_Suit Does anyone else have a great customer service story? I would love to hear it!
  3. I was trying to go to the last Monday track day in June but things fell through, I am REALLY trying to make this one! Is anyone else going? If so, can I pit with some of you guys? I am trying like hell to make this one. Let me know if any of you guys are going and don't mind pitting with a fat slow guy =) It looks like so far the weather is going to be really nice. Guess well see if that holds up or not. OK, let me know!
  4. yea I did not get a letter for that recall though, I only got ones for the turn signals and the bearings. Just hoping this will all be done by July 15th =( that's Nelsons Monday track day. Been trying to do a track day but haven't been able to due to this bike crapping out on me =(

  6. you gotta be kidding me? only 600 bikes were affected in this and I have one? The bearings recall says that an unknown quality of bearing was used and that the bearing could fail. I dunno how an unknown quality is used but those are the two recalls I got. Now the bike spews smoke everywhere and smells like somethings burnt. Man I miss my 09 right now =( blinker recall is the stock blinker stem. Said they could break, funny thing is both of mine are already broke. Never hit anything just from riding. they broke in the little rings. Just the back ones, my front ones are ok,... so far grrr...
  7. yea that's where it was taken the first time. I don't have anything against the shop, just the bike. I guess can have them take it to the ducati dealer its just gotta be within 35 miles of my house =)
  8. Hey all! I have an issue with my 2012 Daytona 675. Here's my story: At 800 miles I got a CEL. Took it to the dealership and got my first maintenance done and told them about the light. When I picked it up the light was off and all maintenance done. The next day the CEL light is back on. Make another appointment, on the ride there, the CEL light goes off. They throw it on to see what the code was and it was a exhaust valve code? sure ok, fix it. They said since the light is out just ride it and see what happens. The very next day, you guessed it, CEL light. Call the dealership and then was told to just ride it around and see if it goes out again. Ok fine... didn't sound right but stupid me. This morning I start the bike up to ride to work cause it's beautiful and smoke pours out of the fairing and it smells like burnt electronics kind of and there was fluid all over the ground. Was a clear fluid, could of been oil. I couldn't check cause I had to get to work. Any idea what could of happened or what might be wrong? The bike is completely covered under warranty as its only a year old. Its getting picked up to go to the dealership tomorrow. I'm kind of pissed. I bought a 2009 Daytona 675 brand new and not a damn thing ever went wrong, just thought I would upgrade last year to a 2012 and now its nothing but issue after issue. My back turn signals both broke and I just got the recall today about the stems and another recall the other day about the bearings. WTF! Posted this on the Daytona675 sight as well, hoping I can get ideas of what just happened. =( Just really bummed. I love these Daytonas best bikes I have rode and its a shame that this one is giving me grief when I had such a great experience with my 2009.
  9. don't forget the key to the bike,... been there, done that =(
  10. i might be interested in going halves... shoot me a PM
  11. Anyone feel like getting out and riding tomorrow? I don't really know any good roads around here but if someone wants to go out and ride tomorrow I'm down! If you know a good little loop let's do it. I really don't want to leave the NEO Ohio area, not looking for a 3 or 4 hour ride, just a couple hours near home and then some lunch or something. Sound good? Let me know!
  12. oh cool that's not a lot, other thing is I have not rode a track day in prolly 3 or 4 years. last I rode I was in level 2,... think that I group? should I start in Novce? if I do decent can they bump me up?
  13. Thanks a lot I will take you up on that offer! Ill be in a red dodge ram more than likely with a uhaul trailer lol I have a black D675. Do you know off hand how much the leather rentals would be?
  14. Im going to try and make this my first track day of the year. Can I pit with some of you guys? I will be there solo. I don't have leathers tho, do they rent leathers for fat guys lol?
  15. Hey all! So I'm asking if anyone has some track gear lying around that they are willing to sell cheap. I'm looking to try a track day at Mid-O maybe May 13 or 14? and I have no track gear. I have been looking online and new stuff is just completely outta my price range. Does anyone have any old track gear that they will part with pretty cheap? I need a suit, gloves and boots. I'm a fat guy so the size of the suit might be a tough one. I'm 5'9'' about 240. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe. If anyone has some old gear collecting dust and will sell it please let me know! thanks in advance and hope to see some of you guys out on the track soon!

I am not great but im not too bad i think.... lol i dunno you let me know PS: i get a little better as the video goes on lol im watching it and the beginning is bad!!!
  20. Hey guys, I need some help with findig a track suit, im looking for a used one as im not really looking to drop too much money in one. I understand that its safety gear and you shouldn't skimp on gear but im just not fast enough to warrant dropping $500-$600 bucks on a suit. The other thing i need help with is size. In Texas i did trackdays, but i knew the guy who ran them so he just let me pick out a suit that he rented out. I never really looked at the sizes as i found one and wore that all the time. Can anyone point me in the right direction to pick up a cheap suit/gloves/boots/back protector if mandatory up here in Ohio? Also any idea what size i would be looking for, im a short fat guy lol. Im 5'10 about 240. If you guys can help shed any light on this i would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance for any help! Can't wait for the start of the season!!!!!
  21. Hey thanks for the heads up about the ass raping.... Ill definately look for the 675's. I dont know anyone, so if i have to watch for an ass raping all day maybe that will get me to go faster? I dunno. But if you guys dont mind me hanging out with you all that would be cool! Im not a fast guy by any means tho,... I have not done the track in about 3 years and when i did i was a mid B class rider at best. Again that was 3 years ago. So if you dont mind a fat slow guy hangin out with ya, let me know what track days you will be at! Im dying to do as many as possible!!!!
  22. Ill b running alot of track days this year, will prolly start out on Novice for a track day or two. Ill be on a black 2012 Daytona 675. Hit me up I am new up here and dont really know anyone.
