  1. Man, I'd love to help you out with this. I just picked up a pair of riding boots, but not as nice of yours. I'm to big for the suit, and I think the gloves would be to small.
  2. No, that's Harley Davidson.
  3. Yes you did. That's what I get for trying to multitask at work.
  4. I'm glad everything worked out for you. Sounds like a good story to tell your friends around a campfire.
  5. Yes, I'm sure a few people were running late that day. They blocked off one whole section of the road. I felt like a criminal, you should've seen the looks i was getting.
  6. If you're in Cuyahoga County, you never know. Do whats comfortable for you, listen for the officers direction. If you don't want to dismount the bike, that's fine. But, that's what I like to see. All traffic stops aren't the same. If I can see you face, I can see if you're going to reach for a weapon. Everything else is a must, getting off the bike is optional. But, again that's what I would like to see.
  7. Yep, that CBR is a nice bike. It will hold it's value, you can flip it without any issues.
  8. Wow, that's desperate. You should just rent a bike, brother. Kennedy's in Elyria has some to rent.
  9. No problem. Wow, no shit, I'm sure that was an awkward situation. I was pulled over a few years back in Elyria, and boxed in by EPD, @ 57 & Cleveland Street. Guess my bike matched the description of a bike that ran from the police on Rt 90. It kind of freaked me out, but I showed them my credentials, and after a few good laughs, I was on my way. I guess us sportbike riders all look the same.
  10. Yes, I would take it off. It put the officer at ease, that you're not going to runs, especially if you ride a sport bike.
  11. When we run your plate from our LEADS system, we will receive an alert from our MDT that you're a CCW holder. Make sure the first thing out of your mouth is, I have a CCW, and the location of it. If you do that, you're golden.
  12. Yes, keys, eyes, and hands control a traffic stop. I would rather see your face, and not your back. Every Leo is different, so you might get a few different answers on this one. Just listen for his direction. The key thing is, to make him/her feel comfortable, that you're not going to hurt them, or speed off.
  13. Pull off the roadway, turn of your bike, remove your helmet, get off the bike, and face the officer. Don't make any fast movements, keep your hands visible to the officer, and be nice. You may just off with a warning.
  14. Wouldn't waste my time pulling out. Not saying the other guy wouldn't try to come after you, or call it in.
  15. If he was a real biker, he would of cut you free without a citation. He did cut you a break though. I never wrote anyone on a bike, and never will. Guess it's a brotherhood thing with me. LEO's, bikers, Masonic Brothers, and active military will never get a ticket from me. Plus, I hate going to court.
