Thanks for the support, I have calmed down a little now, work and meetings have helped. I have had people road rage in me before, but I have always been on 4 wheels, and for the last many years a Jeep Wrangler, so I don't worry about it too much in it. This is the first time it has really happened to me on the bike. What really freaks me out about it, is a friend of mine's girlfriend lost her leg a few years back by a car that went road rage on her, then left. A co-worker says I should file a report, but I don't know. I look at it as: 1. He said/she said 2. I didn't get the full plate. 3. what could they even charge him with given we never touched?

the plate on the back was dirty and almost hidden up under the dump part. SomthingHJ 8995 I think, it was a primer white Freightliner with a black dump bucket. I did not see any signage on the truck at all

So I have heard of it happening, but I never expected it to happen. Today I had a driver deliberately try to run me off the road/ hit me. IT happened on my drive to work today. I was coming down 23 on the north side of c-bus. between the last light and 270 I changed lanes to get into the right lane to get on 270, and continue onto 315. When I turned on my turn signal there where 3 car lengths opening and traffic was going about 30mph. I proceed to change lanes and the large dump truck behind me lays on the horn and runs up on my ass. As we round the corner onto the ramp he runs into the berm on my left and starts to pass me on the berm, then he comes over and tries to hit me or run me off the road. I grabbed the brake, let him get buy, he sees this and also hits his breaks. As we get onto 270 he changes lanes, and I stay in the lane I am in. Every time I get close to passing him he dodges part way into my lane so I back off. Once we round the turn onto 315 I was able to put a car between us and was able to pass and get the hell out of there, or I though. He keep coming and because of traffic I could not get away. By the time we get to the hospital curve, I decide that instead of trying to out run this idiot, I would just slow down. Well he keeps slowing down, so I keep slowing down and get off at the next exit. I really think this guy was trying to kill me. what they hell is wrong with people. I now am arguing with myself if riding is even worth it anymore. I Know it has risk, but damn.

Just last night the truck in front of me had a steer tire blow out, I was glad I was in the jeep, the sound made me jump up out of my seat, I can imagine what would of happened had I jumped like that on the bike. To the drivers credit, he didn't even swerve, he keep it under control and got it over and off the road.

2 years back a friend had a retread kick up and come at least part way through her windshield. It was a mess, and messed the truck up a good bit. I always worry about something like that on the bike.

I have a Scorpion and will never buy one again. I just upgraded to a Shoei and I absolutely love it and will buy Shoei again.

Over all I like the look and feel but: There are not many, but from what I seen browsing the photos seem a little "clunky". On the main page the menu squares are not click able, but if you go into one, and the menu squares go to the left they become click able. The site seems heavy on the sports bike side. Is this the intent? What about dirt, and cruisers? Forums would be a good addition.

I have had a refresher in the last 2 years from helping kids work on their permit test. I will say, a lot of crap has changed, a lot of it nit picky little things, but it was still stuff on the quizzes that got me, a lot of it having to do with the laws about new drivers. Now I can say, I have passed the written test 3 times in my life, Once when I was 16, again in Oklahoma when I moved there at age 21, and again in Ohio when I moved home age 25. If you add the MC permit test, that takes my count to 4, all passed on the first time. I think the report is right. Many in Ohio could not pass the test. Ohio has way too many craptastic drivers. And in my circle of friends there are more female bad drivers than male.

what gets me is all they people that are ready to throw the system out just because "they know it failed and she is guilty and she is going to get off" before we throw the system out, I want to hear what you plan to replace it with. Explain to me how it will not fail. How will this new system sort out the wrongly accused from the bad people? Should we trust the media like so many are in this case?

how do you know she is guilty? She was tried by a jury of her piers and found not guilty. Do you have some proof that was not presented in the court room? Our system is what it is. Yes the media has painted her a monster, yes most people think she is a monster, hell even I think she is not right in the head, but 12 what I can only assume sane, simi-educated people said that after listening to everything, that she did not do it. What we is going on all over the web and media right now is a good old fashion lynch mob. Our system was designed intentionally to prevent lynch mobs from dishing out "emotional justice." did she do it? I don't know. What I do know is the lynch mob needs to stay out of it.

Same setup I have, except I use TomTom The TomTom app works without cell service.
