Based on a recommendation from Rob @ Gearheadz, I took the Z down to Mad Hatter and had a new exhaust put on. 3" from the collector into flowmaster 40 series. It took forever, but the quality of work was well worth it. The car just came alive with the 3" pipes. Definitely more pep in it's step. My brother was wearing a Shoei when his head went through some bitch's windshield on her Subaru. Just a couple scratches.

I don't mind paying for the best to protect my squash, not that there's anything up there.

Felt like blowing some money so I just picked up the newly designed Shoei RF-1100 Sever 2. It even has molded areas for the Chatterbox ear pieces. The headliner is removable now too. Got it for $512 with a dark smoke visor. It fits like a glove compared to my old helmet. I can actually see the tire grooves on the inside of the fender well where it rubs when i turn it real sharp. You can hear the tire rubbing too when it's turned all the way in either direction.

Stock headlights were already put back in. The projectors however did light up the road pretty good if you aim them right.

Man that looks comfy. My short ass probably couldn't touch the ground on one of those.

quite a difference. that'd look pretty sweet with lighter colored cabinets.

update: stock headlights were put back in yesterday. it's all factory now.

Oh I know that SVX is gonna be a pain. They said there was nothing wrong with it, just needed a timing belt. I just discovered the wheels are turning so far that the inside edge is rubbing the fender well and cutting the tires. One tire is already cut through the steel cords. I'm guessing the rack is bad

Arena Motor Sales threw a red flag for me too. I've never dealt with them, but recall hearing bad things.

He just offered it to me for $4200. You don't think it's worth that? He did say there was some rust on the rear hatch, how bad was it? How bad is the paint?

yeah, after i put the headlights in i didn't like them. i spent so much time putting them in so i said phuk it and left them in. i'll put the stock ones back in if sold.
