Anyone else? Maybe now that Dover is back in town today maybe he can chime in about things, or know someone that might want to go take some test drives.

I must only see the big brother of that thing. Cause just last week I saw two grown older guys ridding two of them with the front wheels 4ft apart heading over towards QS&L for bike night. Wonder what people said about them in there pimp bikes. Anyone else see the ones I'm talking about?

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I lost my grandfather and my gramps(stepgrandfather) both to cancer. One I never really got to know cause I was so young, but for my gramps I was rushing to see him before he left us, and I was the first to find him passed away in his room. The nurse didn't close the door as she left, and let me pass her to find him like that. I will never forget that I lost him like that, but I did get to really talk to him on a deep level before he passed the week before about taking care of my grandmother. So I feel for your loss, but we know she is in a better place looking down on you. Also she will get to see your sons first T-down for sure, but you got to tell him to look up after he does it. Cause she will want to see his face when he does it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

I was talking to the other guys on the last page that didn't understand what I was talking about when I explained everything. I guess since I'm newer to the site whatever I say doesn't seem to work...

Let me explain some before you say anything else. Shanton, Marty, Cory, and Cody all do it the same way I was told. Shanton is the one that showed it to me. I'm not talking about a rope plug. After taking out the nail or whatever you drill out the spot, and the clean the area around the part you drilled. Pull the rubber plug into the hole,and then buff the area flat. Clean and remove things in the area. Then glue the patch on the inside. After that pull on the plug and cut to have it under the tread. So that is the discount way to fix the problem and not have problems later. So do you understand now?

I will be doing them for sure this winter. Might stop in soon to do the 16's before they go on. Also might see what you guys can order for the girls car while I'm there. Thanks

At Discount Tire we where taught to use the plug and then grind it down flush, and then clean and then put a patch over it to db seal it. If it was close to the side we wouldn't do it. Tires are something to be cheap about.

Well to be honest go into like a Camera place and try out both the Canons and the Nikons to find out what you both like best. My girl has a photo deg from OU and uses a Canon XT, and her best friend that also did the photo thing has the D40 Nikon. Those two are very even and I would compare them like pepsi and coke. So find what brand you like, and then find one around the price you want. Going with either if you don't have any lenes is just personal taste.

So this is the famous dog piss rim guy. The girl just bent another one of the custome colored wheels we did up for her. I told her that we are just going to get another set of wheels that are more quality rims if you know what I mean. My question is I have a set of 18" SSR GT3's on my car (see sig if you don't know them, but I'm sure you do) and I wanted to see about powered coated the center and maybe new bolts. So what does it cost to redo a 3 piece set of rims? I might have new outside lips instead of redoing them.

The project car that I started with was a 97 Sunfire SE... The car front end got swaped over to a Cavalier, and then added a TRD front and sides to it making it a TRD fronted Cavalier and then the rear was a Sunfire. Does that make since to you guys. Since the Sunfire and the Cavalier share the same unibody the only bolt that is different to put a Cavalier or a Sunfire front on either.

Why do those have to have have snow tires on them. Cause the snow tires are going to heat up and wear out faster then just a AS tire. I will keep those on a close eye though.

I will need them to be 5x100, and also need they then to be AS cause they will be on the car now till we buy new 18's for the car. Cause I do not want the 18's on the car till we get better ones.

If anyone has a extra set layin' around let me know asap. The girl bent a rim again on the GLI, and she is now without a spare. I don't want her to be without, and I just want to get her on a set of steal wheels before we deside on what wheels to get for her. Good tires will be a huge + cause these will be the tires she has for this winter. I think a good quailty set of LM reps would be a great setup if I can find some for her later, but these stealies are a must. Dover is going to ask a friend about some, but wanted to check to see if anyone has them too. Thanks

I will do that for you, and you can keep your money. You just have to do the timing chain service on the girls GLI.

The guys there are great. I started my Discount Tire life there about 2 years ago, but due to lack of work after I switched stores I had to look else where for work. I still go to this day go back for everything I need in tires to the same store. I've been tryin' to get a hold of Shanton Wilson for like a week, but maybe he might call me back soon.

Asking before I do it, but can I post up in the Garage looking for some 16 spares for the girl's GLI for winter? I know I don't show I have 25 post, but I have had that many in the past. I've also bought a car from Chris Green a few years back. I can have like 5-6 members at least that can back me up. So since I changed my e-mail and it reset my acct can I post that up?

TRD Cav Fire is mine... Thursdays and Friday I play some during the day while I'm off from work.

Enjoy that car. I remember watching Josh build up his RX7 a few years ago, and that thing was very very mean. Take your time with it. I've seen an LS1 swap RX7 up North and I was shocked at is power. Good luck with it.
