May 28th at McPherson Commons, Nationwide district
The PetPromise Rescue Run is a 5K run/walk and festival held annually on Memorial Day weekend at McFerson Commons park in the Arena District. It promotes awareness of the pet overpopulation problem and supports efforts to change the future for all homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization, and adoption.
Your entry fees and pledges make a difference for homeless pets! Each year PetPromise rescues and provides food and medical care to hundreds of homeless, unwanted, and abused dogs and cats. For most of these animals, PetPromise is their last hope. Your entry fee and pledges will help give homeless pets a second chance.

There are lots of open volunteer spots, from watering stations, to helping with traffic, or signage!
This race helps fund over HALF of our funding for the year! Currently we have over 100 Cats in the program, as its kitten season, and have have some medical cases of dogs right now that are high cost as well. This funding helps us to get dogs out of dangerous situations and pull from high kill shelters.
Here are some of the pets i have photographed in the last year for PetPromise to help find homes! http://imgur.com/a/iXWOb
