  4. I agree about thier router. But the current one we have had for about 3 years now, and only had to call them to reset it 1 or 2 times, the previous one to that was TERRIBLE.
  5. Our rates have "raised" every two years. I call-threaten to leave- get same price or discount for wanting to leave - our bill has been the only constant for a very long time
  6. Sports are our only reason to keep cable too. Everything I watch is online and with chromecast I can stream most of it
  7. WOW is the lesser of all the columbus cable evils, IMHO. We've had them for 10 years and never wanted to switch. Congrats on cutting the cable. I highly suggest chromecast as an addition to your cutting.
  8. Money is an issue. Throwing 200$ at the problem is not going to happen. I'll be spending some quality time on the phone with HP tomorrow seeing what I can get done.
  9. SURPRISE!! Just posted by Chris Bradley Hello clipper http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3797/11396263036_d0da82c90a_z.jpg SURPRISE! Snow. by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr
  10. I've seriously considered it, but I help pay for stuff though out the year for the kids (museum memberships and art programs) it's what we consider gifts for the kids at Christmas and helps her out as well. As far as Ubuntu- I understand what you are getting at. I'm not doing it. I
  11. I think someone may be able to help me out (via PM) Dowloading anything on her end is just not possible. They have no other computer. I know how linxu is now, she will not be able to handle it.
  12. Im not even remoetly willing to tyr and teach her how to use linux. Windows and Mac are hard enough. These are people who dont even own a Television... by choice. I was pretty excited i got her to learn how to take a photo with her iphone to send to me in a text
  13. I should note that she is in Portland, and i dont have easy access to helping fix this issue. They dont have an extra computer, and live in a very hipster area where most people have macs or the newest and shiniest and dont have 5 year old computers like she does, which was a hand me down.
  14. A) Restore disc from contacting the laptop's manufacturer, or borrow one from someone that has the same model. She was told by HP that she should have created discs when the Computer was purchased and that they couldnt "approve" any hard drive not bought through them. (fuck you HP) B) Buy a Windows disc She and her husband make less than 50K a year and have 4 kids. 90$ isnt something they easily throw around, especially since she had to spend 70$ on a new hard drive. (He's a school teacher and she's a SAHM) So this is a last ditch option C) If the license key is on a sticker on the laptop, then it technically isn't illegal to download and install that version of Windows using that key. Could make a boot disc or a bootable USB drive if the computer supports it. They have no other computer other than an ipad1 that was given to them by her father in law. No way to download it. I had thought of this and at this moment am wondering if i can download it and put it on a disc and mail to her.
  15. So my sisters hard drive on her laptop died. I told her to buy a new hard drive and we would replace her old one.. No big deal right? Wrong.. no one will help us figure out how to reinstall windows on it. She has no boot disk because the person who gave her hte laptop has "lost" the boot disks. Microsoft told her for 99$ they would help her.. (wtf you can buy windows on amazon for 89??) She doesnt have a lot of money to throw at this problem and im across the country for her or i woud just take it and figure it out on my own. Suggestions on what to do? I feel like without the boot disks she's screwed. The PC has/d Windows Vista on it.
  16. I'm really interested, I just don't think I can swing it till after Xmas.
  17. Now that i'm back in the studio, i have had time to meet with some dogs this week. (next week will be another round of dogs) If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please contact PetPromise.org Maeby- Maybe is a lab mix of some sort. She's super wiggly and happy, hasnt met a person shes doesnt fall in love with. She would be a GREAT frisbee dog. Shes very wiggly, and eager to play. She was so concentrated on doing what her foster mom said and getting treats getting her to sit still for a photo was quite a trick for myself! http://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s10/v109/p990825794-4.jpghttp://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s4/v63/p663874511.jpg Deuce is in desperate need of a new foster or more importantly a forever home. Deuce was adopted last year by a family and after about six month found that both of thier males want to be the dominant dog and are living a life of crate and rotate. He's had a professional trainer work with him, and the family. He's a big oaf of a lover, and could use some weight managment as well. He does well with submissive females (at least the one in his current home he is fine with). I can tell he's a lap dog, but he definitly needs someone who can do strict training methods, because he thinks he's the top dog. He loved on me and loved a good butt scratchin while at the studio. I would suggest he be an only dog. http://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s5/v118/p105555799-4.jpghttp://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s8/v76/p331964621-5.jpg Josh- 7+ month old Sheperd mix If i was allowed to have a third dog, He would be it. He's eager to please, he's cute as a button, calm but still puppy playful. He was easy to work with, and adorable. He's got a shaggy short hair coat, and definitly some sort of shepherd in him, I dont think he's got any pit in him, maybe some whippet? http://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s5/v128/p103269652-4.jpghttp://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s5/v130/p23475705-4.jpg Carmen Carmen is a shy pit mix. She does well with her foster-mate brother who is a little older than her by about a month. She would do well in a home with another dog who will give her some confidence. We practiced "No Touch, No Talk, No eye contact" till she became comfortable with her surroundings and me. She is definitly a sweet girl and took almost no time to figure out the bright flashing light = treats, and would sit pretty for me. http://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s10/v101/p98286635-5.jpghttp://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s9/v87/p400817884-4.jpg Duncan Duncan is a Shar-Pei/Lab mix. he's a happy go lucky go, who loves to play. He will eagerly remove all the stuffing from a stuffed toy just to be besties with its squeeker. He was another one who quickly figured out that a bright light equaled treat, but never quite figured out he needed to look at me. Fun boy, would love a house with older kids(8+) simply because of his size, and his love to run and play. http://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s5/v116/p172463175-5.jpghttp://www.luckylolastudios.com/img/s9/v95/p227448571-5.jpg
