This. My 2004 Legacy (ewinters just sold it to someone here) would get 27-29mpg highway- It was an NA. My outback XT gets 24-25mpg highway and is a turbo. Hondas aren't bad cars, i have nothing against them other than they are boring econoboxs. They will do exactly what you want. Moderately comfortable, good mpg.

Midwest will help over the phone as well. They are a great company. Juat ask to talk to someone who knows about video.

I would suggest going to a CAMERA store, over best buy.. (Midwest, or World of Used Photography come to mind for video, columbus camera group, not so much) There is a dedicated video section at Midwest, i'd bet they would likely be able to steer you in the right direction for whatever you want to get out of the camera for her.

Igave used bothme d90 & d700. 28-75 and 35. both times i wish i had wider. 11-16, 12-24 would be ideal
