Nikon just did all thier releases back in February. Here in Columbus we are spoiled with camera stores. Midwest, cord(blah) world of used photography, Columbus camera group. Nikon has a 35mm 1.4 prime .. It's like 3-400$ I never had any issues with the 50 as my main lens, when I used canon or Nikon. Photography on the net, New school of photography Strobists . Com I have a ton for links for you, and will post them in a bit when not on my phone. The best thing to do to learn though... Turn off auto/preset modes and go to P, and move on through the manual modes as you get more comfortable. Shoot everyday. (try a 365day project) I use flickr for uploading, but photobucket works too though I think they compress images weird.

I greatly disagree.. its a little information overload for me, but i guess ill have no other choice if things go downhill at WU.

How did this not get noticed? Radar for me has been terrible since the storm on the 29th. I thought maybe something was wacky with the site or maybe the actual radar was down, so i emailed the tech people there and started doing some research of my own.. I came across this! http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/07/02/1105318/-Weather-geeks-Wunderground-bought-by-TWC http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/article.html?entrynum=2143 WHAT?? reliability of content!?!?? I use WU because its WAAAAAAAYYYY more reliable than TWCC: :fuuuu::fuuuu::fuuuu::fuuuu:

Before you guys keep pushing the 35mm there are somethings to think about for the Nikon. The 35mm is a 50mm on Crop Sensor, essentially, but it will always be a DX lens (DX in Nikon is Crop Sensor, FX is Full Frame lens). While it WILL WORK on a full frame, it will show significant vignetting and it will also force the camera to lower its MP down to 5mp. (my D700 is 18mp normally, and the D800 the newer version is a whopping 36mp, iirc) If he were to ever decide to upgrade to a full frame camera, that lens becomes useless. Yes he could sell it, but thats just a PIA to add to the things to do when making the switch to a full frame camera. ALL nikon 50 1.8s however work as intended, on both DX and FX cameras. The 50mm is a great prime, and will grow with him, and is much cheaper than the 35mm 1.8 (Sidebar: If you nikon, Wiki on Nikons stupid acronym system, read up on it, its useful Points out all the different types of lens that Nikon makes and what type they are as well)

My kindle fire and the ipad BOTH have an app called Easy Relese or something like that.. it has a few kinds of contracts. Model release, family/cildren/ weddings.. all you can sign with a finger. That being said.. the ipad mini will be out soon and is slated to be comparably priced to the fire... you can get SD readers from places like photojojo I dont know anything about the other tables so i cant say anything about them

thanks!

I'd like to get a hitch installed on my outback, but have no clue where to go or the costs. Nothing major, towing a small john boat, or to add a garden trailer.

That just hurts my heart to see that beautiful car crushed like that.

These are TOTALLY unexciting.. Unedited uncropped... You'll see how the lens hole is WAAY too long imho. I wasnt brave enough to use the D700.. but i did use the D90... havent had a lot of time to sit down and edit.. Its a VERY surreal process.. You have a lot to think about when underwater.. first off.. you cant really see what youa re doing.. (ie- dont expect to be ablet o use your viewfinder) Also, no matter how good a swimmer you are.. you are buoyant, and convincing yourself to stay underwater while composing a shot.. is a pain in the ass. I was working with another photographer who ALSO had the same housing and i literally was holding her underwater.. this is a VERY unnerving feeling .. (how anyone could drown someone is beyond me) its kinda awkward clunky. The lens hole is HUGE and awkward.. You need to use as wide a lens as you are willing to stick in there (i used my 50mm because i wasnt brave enough to put my 28-75 in there) Is it a pain in the ass? Yes. Would i buy it again? Emphaticlly, so far.. Hell Yes.

This is a valid point as well. I actually grew up on Canon. I only switched to Nikon because my photography partner is a nikong person with better gear than i own/did own at the time. I thought it would be prudent to switch because she could/would share gear with me when we did weddigns together.

The D90 is a phenomonal camera I have shot a few weddings with it, soley. It is now currently my second body to my D700. That being said. Your bodies you will always upgrade.. Lens though, will really be what makes the camera go. Consumer grade bodies are replaced every single year. A lens however will last you through many bodies. Look over the links that i posted and go hold the cameras like i suggested. The canon 18-55 kit lens is a piece of crap compared to the 18-55 of the nikon. Dont compare lens costs between the two because you will just overwhelm yourself. The 50mm 1.8 (nifty fifty) for both cameras is ~100 bucks and is an awesome lens that everyeone should own, IMHO.

I havent bought a new camera in a VERY long time. Get Shutter counts, and insure everything on your homeowners and dont worry about it. Do yourself a favor and go to midwest photo and hold EACH of the cameras. TALK to them. Ask questions. Then come home and make a decision. One will stick out to you, its just like anything else. you will know it when you try it. THey will do a great job of helping you figure out whats best for your budget and if you need a kit lens or some other lens. Check out KEH.com for used cameras, and B and H as well for used. Amazon usually has some good deals as well. FYI, best buy is going to rape you cost wise.

its not a true macro its a 1:3 If im reading right. You can get a a true macro for about the same price. The Tamron 90 runs around 400 and the Sigma 105 is a touch higher, closer to 500, both are true 1:1 macros. If you want to replace the two lense for an all around lens, this look slike a decent option, but its not a macro lens in the true sense.

Normally this derailment would annoy me but I think you all are just helping me show how sexy it can be. :fuckyah:

It's not always that simple. Then they have to add daycare of some sort to the bills as well. Which depending on what she does as part time work may not balance out what daycare can cost.

I can just picture you in there next to him admiring it all.

Settle down, they are uploading! Please excuse the crap on top of it, it has served as my gardening and work bench for years now. When *you* purchase, i will clean it off and clean off the cover appropriately. It has been disconnected from its dedicated electrical box in our garage, and is ready to be removed. this is NOT a small hot tub.
