And the alternatives are? Nobama 2012

That's the point. I didn't agree to anything. If I do nothing, they automatically force a plan change on me and remove my grandfathered status. (as I sit here typing this I realize this is very reminiscent of our current administration in Washington). Nobama 2012

Anyone else get this? Didn't they lose a lawsuit not too long ago related to this or something similar? They can automatically enroll me in another data plan, (thereby nullifying my grandfathered unlimited data package) all without my consent? I'm currently using a jail broken iPhone 4s running "MyWi" for the occasional iPad or laptop use when I'm not near wifi. Been jail broken for some time now, with only rare usage that hasn't increased. Did some ruling or precedent change recently that allows them to do this now but not previously? Nobama 2012

Price is also an issue. She googled a few and they wanted like $750 for just a few hours (w tip). Was hoping that wasn't typical. Nobama 2012

Yes. I can google. Was more looking for personal references/experiences/friend of a friend etc. Thanks though. Nobama 2012

I meant to rent. Just like renting a car. But wasn't completely sure if a CDL was needed. Guess it is, so nvm:) Nobama 2012

Need to rent a limo service for my gf's daughters 16th bday. Anyone know anyone who owns or works at a limo service? Or where I could rent the limo and drive it myself? (is that even allowed or do I need a CDL?). This will be in the Hillsboro area. Nobama 2012

I did;) Just checked mileage for the first time. 19.4 mpg. Not as bad as I was expecting for city driving w my leadfoot often hitting readline. Nobama 2012

I could use that too. Nobama 2012

Couldnt find a black/black G35 coupe in decent shape in my 10k range. Nobama 2012

Was already well aware of most of what you posted. Oil consumers, poor MPG, need more upkeep than conventional cars, not as fast as other cars I was looking at, etc. The rx8 was on my list of cars I was looking at, along w the GTO, G6, G8, Infiniti G35, Nissan 350zx, Audi TT, 3 series Bimmer, C series Benz, etc. Researched the necessities on all. MPG, HP, prices available, basic specs etc. By "thanks for the depressing stats" I was referring to the differences in your mpg specs verses what is posted on Edmunds, fueleconomy.gov etc. I have driven several hundred miles on my search, and test driven many cars in the last few months looking for a car. Most if not all had issues in some form or another. Signs of body repairs, paint work, mechanical issues, interiors falling apart, $7k worth of hail damage described as "only minor" in the ad, shady salesman, lackluster looks, didn't grab my attention on test drives, etc. Other than 2 noisy rear tires, I have not found ONE thing wrong w this car. Not one! And I am SUPER picky. Its a 1 owner car w no accident history, and had all maint done at the dealer i bought it from. It is super fun to drive, it doesnt look like every other car out there, it "did it for me" on a test drive, and I paid $1700 less than what they were asking. So, I bought it! Other than wishing it had a bigger trunk, I have no regrets. Oh, Im single, w a grown son on his own. I don't need a family car. Nobama 2012

Just something I thought of is all, that never occurred to me until today. The helicopter? Nobama 2012

Went to the office of the company I work for today. (rarely go into the office, I'm a field tech). Saw employees car out front so assumed they were in there. Unlocked door w my key. No ones there, alarm is set. Having never had to use alarm code before I didnt know it by heart and had to go back to my car to get the card w code on it. Too late, alarm went off. Luckily I apparently got it turned off turned off quick enough to keep the monitoring company from callong or the popo to be dispatched. So this got me thinking... I was already envisioning popo being dispatched. Meanwhile, I was carrying. So am I making too much out of this? Or could the fact that I was carrying in a building that just set an intrusion alarm have turned out really bad when popo showed up? Nobama 2012

I haven't financed a car in years, so yeah my budget is not as great as it might be for others. I could do up to 15 or so in cash, but in addition to being old I'm also tight:). Ive thought about financing the balance on a G8, but I just can't get myself to spend 20-26 k on a 4 year old car:). And yes, I know I could get much cheaper and maybe even more reliable if I went w a Honda or similar but I tend to buy more w my penis. Hondas are just too boring. Could also do a later model G6 for cheaper, but I want more power and ideally only 2 doors. And sorry, will never do a Hyundai. Willing to bet most mechanics my age wouldn't either, but I could be wrong. (maybe Jporter will chime in). Could do this and pretty much guarantee a money pit:). May even go look at it tomorrow. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?ownerId=56773162&LNX=IOSEMLVDP&searchRadius=0&listingId=324637885 Or maybe a 350z http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?ownerId=57334822&LNX=IOSEMLVDP&searchRadius=0&listingId=329108228 NoBama 2012

The G5 is close to the old cavalier/sunbird J bodies maybe. May even BE a j body, not sure. But the GTO? Come on. Nobama 2012

Passing judgement? By making a joke about outback? Lighten up. My experience w Subaru consists only of my time working on them as a mechanic. Back then they were not thought of sporty and the only ones I saw were falling apart. Just like Hyundai. They may make nice looking cars now (albeit most of then clones if some other nice import) and they may even be reliable now. I don't know. But in my mind Hyundai will always be what they were in the late 80's. A step up from a Yugo. I will always have that initial impression of them, gained from years of working on them. Similar for Subaru. I'm sure they're different now. But I'm a stubborn old guy who has his biased reasons. But again, passing judgement? All I said was I knew nothing about those models and joked about the outback. Nothing personal:) Nobama 2012

Nope. Not much into subarus/outback steakhouse 4x4's

Don't know what either of those are. Yeah, I know Hondas can be super reliable. But I just don't like them. Too plain. And underpowered. Going to look at a GTO tomorrow w 70k on it. $7000 but has hail damage. Want to see how bad. Nobama 2012
