How are the speakers attached to the inside of the helmet? Same goes for microphone. Got any pics of those? Even w small earbuds, I rip them out of my ear when putting on my helmet. Thought about trying to fasten them to the inside, but not sure how. This chatterbox would be so much better, because then /I could have satellite radio form my i-phone, use the phone, etc.

Why couldn't he ticket you? Didnt know helmet LED's existed. where do you find them or the screamers?

I got a set of Alpine Star leathers off E-bay. I did OK I think, $250 for a 2 piece suit. It arrived today. Opened it up and realized it didn't have a pocket for a back protector. I thought for sure if would have one, or at least a foam pad/pocket like my Joe Rocket jacket does. So for a newb question, dont back protectors go into pockets of the jacket? Is there a way to have a back protector with no pocket? Im pretty sure Mid Ohio requires back protectors for anything above the novice level.

Good points. Stock so far. Kind of caught my attention as I was looking up parts (and saw the warranty), as I spent last weekend troubleshooting a "FI" light. From what I can tell so far, it has a bad exhaust valve actuator/sensor. (Open circuit when checking resistance) I imagine it would be expensive if I had Kawi fix it, but I did find some used ones on Ebay for about $50. Its also hard to not have memories of the constant "down" time on my POS ZX7. But apples and oranges I guess.

I checked out the RAM mounts earlier. May have to try them out if I get some throwaway money. Thanks!

Just found out my bike has this coverage, apparently from the previous owner. It expires this month however. renewal would cost a little over $500 for 24 months additional coverage. From what I can tell, there is no deductible, and it looks like a bumper to bumper warranty) no normal wear/tear, maint items, etc) Anyone have this? Find it worth it?

Thanks for the post and time put into it. How do you have your cam mounted? Ive been looking for mounts, and most of them are handlebar type mounts. I have no available handlebar real estate on my bike, as I imagine most sport bikes don't. There's the gas cap mounts, but to me those would make it difficult to tuck when needed. I thought about using the brake reservior bolt, but that's rubber mounted. I did find a reflector mount on my forks that I may be able to use for a threaded hole/mounting position. Keeps camera kinda close to the road though Nick, I made a pass towards the end (think it was just before the crash) to change my place in line, but I dont think that was me. Didn't see any green:D

I need a set of the foam pod type filters for the carbs on a ZX7. Doing a search on ebay brings up mostly the chrome type w a round opening. My carbs are an oval opening. Are these called anything else that might help on a search?

I broke off a fuel nipple today (on the ZX7) in my gas tank after rebuilding the carbs. Not sure Im gonna have it running in time. But I really dont want to miss the chance to go, so worst case scenario, Ill take the ZX10 and take it REAL easy. I will NOT be a happy camper if I wreck the 10. Calling now
