  1. Now I just need to decide if I want to hack up my current 10/22 for this purpose or just go get another one.
  2. There is a bill that's passed the HOR, but we're still a Senate and an anti-gun President away from it becoming law.
  3. That's awesome, thanks for the link. Bought one from midwayusa.
  4. If you're shooting indoors you might want to check with the range operator if they allow you to print your own targets. At New Albany SR they do not allow it because of some BS regarding paper particles in the air filter system. This never made any sense to me but regardless, you gotta use professionally manufactured targets, preferrably theirs.
  5. Jesus we need a national CCW law.
  6. I feel your pain. I have one of these as well. Bought for my nephew who wanted the cash instead. Of course I didn't keep the receipt. Walmart policy is any electronics over $50 require a receipt for return or exchange. They wouldn't even give me in-store credit.
  7. Gun shows also point out that it is illegal for pirvate sellers to sell to non-Ohio residents. Not sure if this rule applies to all private sales or just gun shows.
  8. Give the show a chance, it will get better. I know for a fact that some of the staff in that shop are Ohioans.
  9. Signatures are nice, but dollars are what will make it happen. There are only a finite number of available weekend dates during rideable/spring/summer/early fall for these tracks. Most of them are already booked and are practically guaranteed to that organization (both cars and bikes) each subsequent year. The few dates that are available are either in cruddy times parts of the year or conflict with other things going on. So even if there is an available date, Todd also has to make sure that it doesn't conflict with an existing event on the schedule, including non-Motoseries events like AMA MidOhio, Indy GP, etc. So actually picking dates at new tracks that work with the existing schedule can be difficult. Even if you could pick the ideal date, you are still probably going to pick a date that's already claimed by another customer of the track. So to really compete with the incumbent organizers for these dates you at the very least have to show that you are going to bring in more business for the track than the incumbent date holder, and even that might not be good enough. For example, STT runs what a dozen or so events at Grattan, nearly all if not all are sold out. That's tough competition. Grattan probably isn't likely to piss off STT to give Motoseries one or two event because STT consistently brings in a ton of RELIABLE business for the track. I'm hoping that given the poor WERA turnouts from this past year that maybe some of their dates come available. Would be really interesting to see Motoseries buy up all the NC WERA events (except for the additional Nelson rounds). But who knows. Either way, it's going to take lots more than a petition.
  10. Josh Hayes won a championship on an F4 many years ago. I have no doubt that a competent racer could kick all our asses on an F4 or F4i if he/she were so inclined. It's a great track bike.
  11. STT used to charge $155 per day at Beaver. Just sayin'.
  12. Hey TRMN8TR, we don't know each other and I'm really not trying to bust balls here, but Marty puts in a lot effort/time/expense to take track side pics. If you haven't already, the least you could do is to purchase the pic in your avatar. Until you do, displaying an unlicensed version is basically the same as stealing. Something to think about.
  13. If you're doing the novice group much of your time is going to be spent inside in the classroom, so don't sweat having a canopy for this first event too much. Def leave the frame sliders on. Make sure the bike is sound, no loose screws (be sure to check your levers). I also suggest unplugging all of your lights in addition to taping them, especially the brake light. Lights can be a distraction to other riders and they often are still visible through the tape. Otherwise, be prepared to have a blast, cause you will!
  14. I do want to give props to Nick B. though for his ability to match duct tape to the paint on his bodywork. Didn't even know they made duct tape in green.
  15. Too many damn forums, not to mention, I do have a jobby job you know.
  16. You're getting around good Tyler. Look me up at the Beave and I'll be more than happy to give you a tow in the early sessions to help you learn the track.
