If your route is through Coshocton, take Hwy 541 west from Rte 16, following that to 586 in Martinsburg. turning right will take you into Mt. Vernon...

Who can transport a motorcycle from Detroit to Cleveland?
DeansZG replied to Tpoppa's topic in Daily Ride
FYI: Feb '19 I went the U-Haul route & rented their dedicated motorcycle trailer going to fetch my 1200 Multistrada 180 miles away. Total cost was less than $30 for the day. Crappy day that had me wishing I would've rented a fully enclosed trailer, but w/ the 50-60 mph headwinds blowing s**w & the road crew salting the roadways, it was nothing $5 at the local car wash didn't remedy... -
I got popped about three yrs. ago on the slab in N. Dayton... I didn't have the time, nor want to return to court to contest it. I lawyered up & got it changed to malfunctioning equipment violation or something like that. Cost a few bux for the lawyer, but it kept my insurance rates the same, whereas an speeding excessive velocity award would've easily surpassed the cost of the lawyer by mucho $$$ for a LOT longer.... Friggin' insurance thieves...

Thnx, lost the link & none of the search engines came up w/ anything!

Anyone know what happened to the RideOhio.org forum? It was another tool in the riding forum arsenal that I found handy from time to time....

In order to preserve my drivers license, I'm listing my '04 ZZR 12 for sale: '04 ZZR1200 w/ 35k ish.. miles on it (& they will go up as it does daily commuting & weekend playing). I bought the bike in '12 & thought I could make a decent sport-tourer out of it wanting something a little different than the C10 Concours I sold previous.... turns out that while it's a fun bike, even w/ the mods, it'll never be what I miss about the Concours.. Anywho, here's the skinny: Metz Z6 f & r tires have about 1500 miles on them, 3 windscreens; oem, Mra w/ extender, & Ermax w/ MRA extender, C10 handlebars, which are taller than the oem bars w/ blocks that most people install, heated grips, Corbin seat, Tutoro chain oiler just installed, new chain & sprockets not installed, & old style Krauser saddlebags. A trunk is also included but not pictured. I've got some hard rubber shock cushions under the base of the mirrors to give a better rearward view than looking at your elbows. Also have a ram mount off the mirror bolt hole on the clutch side. Playing / commuting will return around the low-mid 30's gas mileage & have netted about 250 miles from a tankful during weekend trips. Can send better pics if requested. Bike is located about 1/2 hr. n. of Toledo Will discuss pricing w/ serious inquiries.... still riding / enjoying the bike, not going to give it away.... Not looking to trade for anything either.... Looking to regain garage space due to another purchase!

Yep, Oak Park...forget it I live about 25 miles southwest of there & only venture THROUGH the area 3-4 times a yr..to visit the mid-week bike nites in Royal Oak, another neighboring city just to the north. wednesday nite is cruisers / thursday nite is for sport bikes, Main st., lots of places to sit, eat & enjoy the eye candy Ferndale, if you're looking at INside of the city limits....maybe....http://ferndalemi.areaconnect.com/statistics.htm http://www.zillow.com/ferndale-mi-48220/home-values/ Pleasant Ridge(borders Ferndale to the north) is another alternative.....http://censusviewer.com/city/MI/Pleasant%20Ridge http://www.zillow.com/pleasant-ridge-mi/home-values/

While out-n-about on an overnighter in the Mt Vernon / Coshocton area, the wife & I drove past a farm shop on Rt541 about a mile east of Bladensburg w/ an amazing assortment of hit-n-miss motors on the property. Does any of you have any info on this place:
-
Yep, looks like a Hannigan...although, didn't they have internal compartments w/ locking lids? I'm also reminded of the fairing on that Z-1 that "Toecutter" rode in the original MadMax movie....

Thanks for the legwork on this Derek. Will place the order early next week, when I return from spring break weekend. -
As a matter of fact, we have designed t-shirts for our Grey Beards Spring trips before: The "2015 Epic Ride design is a fresh idea that works for our bunch also....
-
Can I purchase a shirt even if I don't join up for the ride? My buds & I will be doing our own epic ride based out of Hocking Hills the same weekend as the O.R. spring ride & the design looks awesome! Some of them may also want to purchase the shirts and/or hoodies.

Nice lookin' scoot! That 1st pic looks like the shop in Wooster??? If so, did you pick up any ammo too? Nice bunch to deal with!

While I have yet to make it to one of your epic rides.....yet..... I have had the misfortune of having to do the slow shuffle thru Zanesville a time or two & find the traffic congestion to be a bit unnerving..... Not conducive to navigating a group of riders at certain times.... What I'd suggest is to meet up at the Coshocton Walmart parking lot next to the Burger King / Murphy gas station: http://goo.gl/maps/pQg8H Kind of a central localle for those riding down from the north shore or from the west side using this distance mapping software: http://www.freemaptools.com/radius-around-point.htm?clat=40.297&clng=-81.851&r=193.12128007376305&lc=0000FF&lw=2&fc=00FF00 Also it's easy access to Rt83 south to the other routes listed Another meeting spot a tad bit closer to the west side riders would be the Mt.Vernon Kroger parking lot on US36: http://goo.gl/maps/hWHDY

Yep, looks like you had some decent weather once you got south of the pot holed mess of s.e. Mi. & T-town... One of these days when the dates & planets align, I'll saddle up & tag along w/ you down there. Heads-up for the Stockbridge, Mich gathering Sunday Sept. 21st, if you're interested... Some hafway decent riding( for s.e. Mi. anyway ) out near the Waterloo Rec area n. of Chelsea on the way there.

Don't forget about Vintage Days @ Mid-Ohio to demo bikes also! Demo'd a BMW one year & had to get to the gates by 'o dark thirty to get a spot on the list though. The sign-up list was all full 15 minutes after the event was open for the day.

This is something I'm thinking about trying: http://www.amazon.com/Safety-Technology-ED-55-Electronic-Watchdog/dp/B00BHV6FY6 might be enough of a deterrent that the lowlifes go to someone else's property!

Thanks for posting, always enjoy bike videos! What routes did you take once you exited from the slab? I rode/endured I-75 south into Ohio again yesterday & I'm thinking I'll spend some xtra mileage heading over to US23 next time!
