oh and if you havnt already, check ebay. These engines are hard to come by and arnt cheap when they do. A cheaper alternative is a 1991 200 20v engine. Same engine just a little older. (same hp and specs)

Sounds good. I think it will be a good sized car for her because she is somewhat short. And it is somewhat tunable Still looking for one thats not on the east coast but i might just have to go and get one from there.

My girlfriend is looking at mini's and im trying to help her out. What are the common problems with the S versions? Shes looking at the 2002 and a few 2003's. I see there was a suspension recall in 2003. Any spicific problems to look out for besides the general maintaince items?

The hemis are couped up in boats. If there were a car that didnt weigh as much as a whale then they could be fun. As far as strictly engine mods on them i dont know much about them.

Lake Erie is a good spot assuming the weather is good. Het a small cabin around Port Clinton for a week or so and the price isnt bad. Or Chicago has a lot of nice places to visit if you dont mind the 6 hour drive.
