lol ive tried to quit probably 20 times before this. I managed to quit for 14 days last summer, i went back to it because I broke. nicotine is one of the hardest drugs to get off of, some believe its worse than heroin for addiction
Its the hand to mouth addiction or the habit and motion/activity of it. You were no longer addicted to nicotine but you didnt want to quit bad enough. The cravings are the worst when you are used to having a cigarette aka after the morning cup of coffee, after eating, while driving, etc...

Actually I think the doc said after 3 days it was out of your system the rest is just the physical habit nothing chemical.
I was being generous. I originally put a week but changed it so he didnt feel discouraged if he still felt "addicted". That was with the assumption someone would take my advice serious

The most successful people that quit smoking are the ones who quit cold turkey which seems to be prevalent in this thread. After a couple weeks your body is over its nicotine addiction and it becomes a problem of breaking the habit not the addiction.
Good luck. Plenty of resources available to you to help.

Well buddy broke his derailleur. It was a Alivio series. It is tore apart in my garage right now. Probably going to replace it with the same model.
Get the Deore model. I had an Alivio previously and the Deore wasnt much more $ and I think it performs better. Supposed to be a really good value for performance.
I need to replace my front brake still and have a hard time justifying the cash for an upgrade over a cheaper fix. Especially when I dont see myself keeping the bike for a long time.

This is awesome.

I was thinking Cali as the "goal." I need to make sure of my time frame but hoping I can have 3 weeks. I have a tentative route planned without any specific roads included. Ill PM it to you...

2002-2009 vfr's are all the basically the same with a minor update in 06. The one tpoppa posted is a good deal. So buying a newer bike than you have would be the vfr1200 and good luck finding one for 7k.

Congrats on the bike. It'll serve you well on campus. If you ever want to hit some trails PM and we'll hit up Alum or Chestnut assuming you chose OSU
-
Add old and I'm in if you're in. Lol
Haha we'd get smoked so bad. Only people I ever pass on the trail are still trying to figure out their shifters.... You're racing the 5th right?

Word. Check for coupons. I know I got mine for less than the website list.

It attaches with 4 bolts. Zoom in on the photo and you can see the bolt holes right by the silver parts where it attaches to the black base.

I have this one and it works great. You should be even better off with that one if you want to spend more.
