NO no no. The first number is the oil viscosity when its cold its "W" weight or "winter" weight. It's is not the temperature. So a 10W30 will have a 10 weight oil viscosity when cold and a 30 weight oil viscosity at operating temperature (or hot) There is a trick here; the oil doesn't actually get thicker (turn from 10 weight to 30 weight) as it gets hotter. What is actually happening is that when the oil is cold, it has the viscosity of a cold 10 weight oil. as it gets hotter, it doesn't get thin as fast as a 10W oil would; by the time it is up to temperature, it has the viscosity of a hot 30 weight oil.

This is truly a my loss is your gain deal. I bought this tomtom rider about a month ago off of a forum member and was suppossed to be in excellent condition. Well when I got it all looked good till i went to mount it an put it in its craddle and realized it had a crack in it and the unit would not hold tight enough to engage the charging pins, previous owner said he knew nothing about it. Well I did manage to Macgyver it and make it work and used it for a few weeks with no problems. One of my work mates seen I had it and said he had one he would have sold me if he known I wanted one. Long story short I got his and it was in better shape so now I no longer need this one. Here is what I did to make it work. First i soldered two solder berries on the charging terminal to make them stand out more and second thing I did was wrap a zip tie around the back of the bracket to make it tighter where you could not see it when it was mounted on the bike. One other disclaimer is this does not include the dock battery cable because I only had one and im using it, they can be had on ebay for around $20. Now for the good part, It's all there, actually its more than all there because ill give you all the mounts and cords and stuff from both units that I dont need. I works great, nothing wrong with the GPS unit itself. I have done all the updates and map share updates there are. Have both AC (w/220 adapter) and the cigarette lighter car charger. SD card with pre loaded maps of the canada and U.s. Carrry bag and strap Bluetooth ear piece head sets See pic for all you get....... I only want $50 delivered to you or $40 and a tall boy if you pick it up from me, which is half of what I paid for it. Please ask any question I want full disclosure incase I missed anything. This can be a good useable unit(everything is there minus the battery cable) or to replace someones broken unit. What you see in the picture is what you get.

I'm not commenting anymore and I think others might feel the same way. If you can't comprehend simple things like oil change and oil selection you have no buisness turning wrenches on any motorized vehicle.
-
YES IS DOES! Car oil isn't made for wet clutches and thrashing transmission gears.
-
Anything that says 4 stroke motorcycle oil?
-
If you have gas in the crank and have been running it tiss very bad for lots of stuff. If that's the case I'm betting you floats are stuck open and like CSC said before seek professional help. Because it's oviously beyond your knowledge.
-
It would over filled to begin with. It would be extremely thin. And would smell strong of gas fumes.
-
Make sure it's made for motor cycles. JASO MA OR MA2 rating or just look for 4T motorcycle oil on the front.
-
And make sure you don't have gas in the oil. If your carbs are fucked yiu could be dumping gas down into your crank.
-
So it sat for several years and you haven't changed the oil yet? I would have changed it before even cranking it over.

Not what your mom said. [emoji6] [emoji1]

Yea the felt usually can be reused if removed carefully. And if its a 2 or 3 piece slat you will have to fill and sand the joints. I put mine together when it was new. It's a very cheap one and it will never get moved because I don't think it would survive a move. So it will go with the house if and when we ever move.
-
No trying to mess up a sale for ya but. Have any of you bubbys actually ever moved a pool table before? They can weight anywhere from 600 to 1200lbs and depend on how it's made and put together you can't move them with out tearing it down and removing the slate and sometimes having to replace the felt. That's why most of the time people will give them away just to have them moved out of a space. Not saying Brian's is this way but might want to do some research before you drive up thinking your just going to carry it out and throw it in to a trailer.

Guess I missed that quote. So much stupidity in just one sentence

I've had to send my sons toshiba in twice for repair. No problems and no cost to me. Both times it was the hard drive. The second time they suposivly upgraded it at no cost to not have the problem again. So far so good after that.
