I know, right. Why spend thousands of dollars on a new machine just to watch it rot away. Kinda feel like I'm rescuing it. That dude would have just put about$100 into it he could have sold it for at least$500 more than I paid him for it.

Today was a bit of a cluster fuck, i was checking things over making sure all things were working properly and i noticed that when it was in PARK the P light wasnt lighting up on the dash. So long story short i spent 2 hours trying to track down what i thought was a wire or electrical issue ended up just needing the shift linkage adjusted.DOH!! Oh well at least now i know more about the electrical stuff for the future reference. Put the plastics and bumpers back on and installed battery tender leads. I also put the stock exhaust back on but it will be coming off when my new DG pipe gets here. So other than cleaning up the calipers and rotor area now im just waiting on parts.(Slip On, Spark Plug, Brake Pads, Caliper pistons, skid plate) come on Brown Santa! Pics of plastics back on.... Had some old red paint laying around so i touched up the bumpers and painted this exhaust bracket should have done the bolts too... And while this is all going on the Connie has been sitting in the cold and rain, i think she's pissed at me....

Don't know if anyone is even still following this thread but me..lol..oh well good for my own personal reference. Yesterday she got all her new fluids, engine oil/ filter, front and rear diff, radiator flush and fresh juice, drained all the brake fluid only suprise there was that the front diff was a bit low and came out looking like chocolate milk which is a sign that water has gotten in there. I'm not going to panic yet because it hasnt been touched(Ever!) still has the stock fluid in it, so i just did the change and will check it again after a ride or two and watch for leaks. Also yesterday i took the top and bowl off the carb and gave it a good shot of carb cleaner, little sediment in the bowl but nothing out of the ordinary, Also checked the valve lash, intake was a fuzz tight, and exhaust a fuzz loose but still barley in spec, they are right in the middle of spec now. Think tat was it for yesterday other than putting the tank back on and firing it up to see how my adjustments took. And she fired on the first lick with only half choke so there was some improvement there. Couple in process pics.... Note the stickers on my tool box, they belong there and not on a quad,,,LOL

Doing a 6 qt oil change and fill up the 28 gallon tank in the Tahoe today...just trying to do my part

Ordered my brake pads and pistons $110, just picked up all the fluids I needed for $50, just waiting on Mike to quote me a price on the skid plate and ill have everything on the way. Might order a slipon too that stock muffler looks like shit and I can get a DG on fleabay for $150

And here are the pics of the brakes, to say they were shot was a under statement, the pads were worn all the way through and the piston on the right side had punched through the pad and was dragging on the rotor. So i have to get pads, new pistons for the front and at least one rotor(think im going to score a free one)The pics will say it all.....

Most the Bubbys already know but today i picked me up a new dirt ride. 06 Yamaha Wolverine 450 4x4. She needs a little TLC and a good cleaning but i got a good deal on it. My decription of the condition would be lightly used but maintained poorly. She needs all new fluids and brakes(new pads and calipers maybe rebuilt). I have already removed all the stupid stickers he had stuck all over it. I bought it from the original owner and it's got a fuzz over 1000 miles on it, also came with a plow. Once i get the maint up to date the wish list will include, skids plates, hand guards, powder coat the bumper and grab bar(maybe other parts). here are some pics of it as i got it ill update this thread as i get things done. The dude basicly rode it and parked it every time, never cleaned it, he says he changed the engine oil every year but said the gear oil, battery, coolant, and brake fluid is all original. Credit card company's are the ones that take all the risk. If your card is hacked they have to reverse the charges and it's their problem. Don't see the logic in being overly paranoid.
