  1. I got mine Friday but haven't opened the envolope yet..speedy delivery thanks man
  2. Looks like ill be able to knock this one off my list in 2 weeks. In going out to Colorado with my parents to visit my sick aunt and im taking my bike in tow. Want to hit Mt Evans, Rocky Mt national park, pikes peak, and a few other places. She live just outside fort Collins so its a great place to start.
  3. Yeah last night was the worst case scenario I have never seen that before probably be a long time before I see it again.
  4. Like with my scenario last night yes its a 5000 gallon per hour pump more like three 3000 gallons with the setup I have and lift. That's about 50 gallons per minute I was pumping last night no type of back up would even come close to sniffing that, so genny FTW!
  5. Lift might be a problem with those. Low volume pumps lose a lot of their capacity due to the lift getting it up the wall and out of the basement.
  6. My alarms work just fine but I have a older system
  7. Top I have one of these set ups too with a cheap deep cycle I bought at a garage sale. It has saved me several times when my pump has malfunctioned but in the case of last night it would never kept up. And it is kind of funny I have spent good money on a rigid lifetime warranty pump which has failed on me twice I currently have a cheapo Harbor Freight pump which is been in there for several years without fail. I realey bought it used to be able to have a pump as a bank up while I sent my rigid out for repair and I just never went back to the rigid.
  8. I like the southern style, even though I'm going through withdraws because I'm trying to cut out caffeine:wacko:
  9. I edit 90% of my post, because im a retard that dosn't proof read before posting
  10. I didn't get any YET, but this is the most water i have seen at my house since i built it in 2001. While it was dumpin for about 3 hours tonight i heard my sump pump running non stop so i go to the basment to check it out. The pit was full and about 1 in from overflowing. Now i run a 3/4HP 5000 gallon per hout pump down there, and it ran for 2 hour strait before it gotto the point where it would kick on and off again. I thought maybe it had clogged pick up screen so i went to reach my hand down in there to check and it shocked the hell out of me, so im thinking its time for a new pump, If i loose that pump im screwed because half my basment is finished. And its still running 50% of the time now. Plus i had a 10ft wide river running though my front yard which i have never seen. Any who does any one else have strories or pictures?
  11. Hope it fits that way when I'm all geared up I don't look like a idiot because my son's on the back in a hoodie.
  12. What is the gravel road section like is it perfectly passible with regular street bike?
  13. Well you probably are correct on driving to the highest point I guess I was just thinking getting to the highest point. You just added another to my list .lol.. Plus if your going to death vally you might as well check out mount Whitney they are real cost to one another.
  14. Will do, if I go to Colorado I will have my bike in tow. I'm not going to waste the trip without it.
  15. My son is a scrony kid. If you still have this I'm willing to gamble for $30 delivered
  16. I've been to key west too a few times but never on a bike. As far as this summer goes I still have one week of vacation remaining that i have no plans for which is currently scheduled for September 15-22. But I have a sick aunt in Colorado that me and parents were thinking about visiting before anything happens to her. So it all depends on what happens there. The Minnesota trip would also require a passport due to having to cross into Canada, which I do have.
  17. That thing only retails in excellent condition on kbb for $5180
  18. I've been thinking about this for a while and I want to start things in motion. I what to hit all the extreme points of the contiguous United States sometime on my bike that your can drive to. These points include most northern which is Angles Inlet/Lake of the Woods Minnesota, southern most which us Key West, eastern point at West Quoddy Head/light house in Maine, western point at Cape Alava,Washington. Would also like to hit the highest and lowest points in elevation which are Mount Whitney, and Badwater Basin, Death Valley both in California. This is something I'll probably streched out over several years and ill save the longest routes for last. I'm thinking about doing the eastern most route first since it is the easiest and shortest. Not going to make it a race or an ass burner just take the time enjoy the scenes in a few points interest along the way and enjoy it. Not really wanting to camp in these trips, my thoughts are being on the road all day its nice to have a nice dry bed and a shower etc to kick back and relax in the evenings. I'm not opposed to camping it just wouldn't be my first choice. I know I've got the right bike, riding gear, and luggage, will eventually need to get a better GPS set up. There is some gavel sections in the Angles Inlet route that I would have to deal with but it's only 20 or 30 miles worth. And the out west trips would require oil changes and maybe tires mid trip. Main thing I would need I is a partner, I know my wife would not want to so this and for safety reasons and to split the cost of hotel rooms ect somebody to go with me would be beneficial. Would anybody else consider making this journey with me our at least parts of it? The shorter trips I would like to knock out in the next 1 or 2 years the out west trips im probably looking more like 3 or 4 years out but i would just like to get things in the thought process. Thoughts? Input? Suggestions?
