  1. if you have any 3xl (prefered) or 2xl can you save me one ill pay you at the gap, you know im good for it.
  2. yea decided to finish the trailer so its a no go for me. and i have a door on the house to fix and ..oh yea ive only had 4 hours sleep in the last 44 hours
  3. compare the tire sizes between these two and you will make up you mind real quick
  4. Ok got them where i wanted and i have feed my intercraving to over do it. (because thats what i do). If its twice a good as it needs to be it isnt good enough in my book. I ended up putting the front and rear cornners on the inside of the angle iron upright, will still have the angle needed and they will be in solid metal. The ones on the sides and the center front and rear i was able to get them close enough to the edge to at least catch one of the bolts to a frame rail. and the one in the very center i had to just put on the wood(spliting two boards)but im goting to put a 1/4" 4x4 aluminum plate underneath to spread the weight and im going to put extra carriage bolts in the crossmember nearest to those boards. So yes i over did it but i would have drove me crazy if i didnt. i would take pisc but i need to run in town to get more carriage bolts, so its not done but the holes are all drilled.
  5. i want the bottom of the rails to be a back up option.
  6. Yeah I like the top of the rail idea mainly because it's a hell of a lot easier to mount them. The ones in the middle will still have to go in the floor obviously. The biggest problem I see with fastening to the decking is that the boards are only bolted to the cross members on every other cross member. And where I would need to put the tie downs is dead nuts center between where it is bolted. so if it is going to flex anywhere it will flex there
  7. I'm getting ready to fasten my D rings to my trailer long story short the way the subframe and cross members are the spacing doesn't work out the greatest. My question is would mounting the D rings on top of the rail cause any problems that you guys could think of. The rail is 1 foot off of the bed of the trailer and I think its plenty sturdy enough to support straps and tie downs. Or would you just fasten the D rings to the wood and not worry about being on a crossmember. Here's a picture of what I'm thinking about you can see the D rings on top of the rail
  8. LBTS GLWS and all that happy stuff
  9. check www.jakewilson.com for other brands usually cant beat their prices, there is a local guy to me that mounts and balances them off the bike for $15 per.
  10. The route was kinda lame but it wasnt I.P.s fault the Yamaha guys kinda took over the show and took no recomendation from th elocal guys, there was more to the story but i dont want to litter up the thread with it right now maybe at the end of the weekend when all is over with. Nice talking to you "Iron pony guy" sorry im bad with names, and sorry you had to deal with those lame assholes. I rode the FZ8 just to be able to ride some thing with out haveing to wait 2 hrs. It was very smooth and flickable but like adam said we could not streach thier legs (at all). Too small of a framed bike for my big ass(obviously), and i hated the rubber mounted rear sets, they flexed WAY too much. But been there, done that, got (the wife) a tshirt for it. Also checked out the Scorpion EXO-900 modular transformer helmet and i likey, waiting on Nate to give me a qoute, they were $269 at the pony(too much to spend right now not really "needing" one yet). Good meeting you adam and thanks for having lunch with me and that other guy:lol:.
  11. Nate my man. quote me a price for the scorpion exo900 transformer in white futive (not the solid) in 2xl..just looked at one at the pony and I likey
