Great day of riding today even though it was ALL slab. Beautiful weather perfect temps and very little traffic. Stopped at Antique Archeology and meet us with @JustinNck1 parents at the Iowa 80 (worlds largest truck stop). Ate at Smokey D's BBQ Des Moines , it was pretty good. You get a lot of food for the money there. Braved speeding semis and deadly gravel to get the state signs in today... Here are the pics.......

Got on the bike today for the first time in over 2 weeks.(Doctors orders) Rode to my dr appointment on the west side of Columbus to give it a shake down for the trip. The great news is the Doc has cleared me for the trip. The also kinda good news/bad news is my shake down revealed a problem with the bike. Long story short I was dumb ass when putting on the new brake pads, but all is fine now. Just glad I decided to ride to the appointment and found it early enough to address it at home and not on the road. Other than that every thing else worked and performed perfectly. My little jaunt around town today.

Looking at the class I that fits your car vs the class II that is on my wifes car I think the one for your car looks stouter with better mounting tabs. Not sure where they get the ratings for these but the class II on our impala I'd never push past the class I limits. But yea the one im seeing for your subaru i think will work fine for what you want. I would just make sure of the tougue weight for your trailer and adjust the load accordingly. I hauled my TL and her Shadow down to deals gap once with our old impala and at first the wight on the tongue was too much so i slid my TL back about foot(more weight behind the axle) and it made it about perfect.

I've been out in the truck and trailered the bike. Got a couple day on the bike while out there but it was just a taste. That was 5 years ago and been itching to go back and being at the mercy of the elements is part of the excitement.
