    Ohio Hunting

I have hunted both public and private lands over the years. All have been down in the Wayne National area. Morgan and Athens county to be exact. Bow, Muzzleloader and shotgun/pistol helps extend the season. Jim
  2. This is what I have been looking for, except it's the wrong caliber. If he has one in .243 let me know. I will drive out and pick it up tonight. Good luck on the sale. That's a good price on a great gun. Jim
  3. Thanks for the heads up Zach. I fixed the link so hopefully you can see them now. Jim
  4. It looked you guys were having a lot of fun out on the ice. Here are a few pictures I took while I was watching everyone.

I have been shooting this little screamer for a few years now. I have found it to be very accurate and extremely distructive. It's a little expensive for plinking but it will make a good kill on small ground hog size game and smaller out to about 150 yards. Not to mention it is just a blast to shoot. Here is a picture I took of a 30-06 case I shot at 50 yards. It cut through it just like butter. Jim
  6. I remember seeing bikes out on Buckeye lake almost 40 years ago when I was a kid. They use to have actual races out there when the ice allowed. I didn't realize they still rode on the ice out there. Let us know the next time they are going to hit the ice. I wouldn't mind coming out and watching. Jim
  7. Sorry Josh, I rarely sell any of the knives. If it's any help to you, I picked this one up on ebay for $10. So there are a few deals out there to be found. Very nice collection you have so far. Jim
  8. I have picked up knives in a lot of different places over the years. In pawn shops, ebay, junk shops, yard sales and even while on vacation. This link shows a lot of them I have now. The good thing about collecting knives is that it doesn't take up very much space. http://www.pbase.com/dstegjas/knives Jim

    Hi-Point C9

I have never owned or shot a HiPoint. So I can't speak from personal experience. What I can tell you is that a friend of mine at work had one come apart in his hand while shooting it. The gun didn't explode, the frame cracked and split apart. I did see the pictures of the pistol after the malfunction. I will see if I can find the pictures and post them for you. The good news is that their lifetime warranty is good. They replaced the gun within I believe 30 days. You have to mail them in for the warranty work. They don't like you stopping by the Mansfield location. Jim
  10. Thanks Beegreenstrings. I have had the Colt and the M1A for about 10 years now. I am kind of guessing on that because I don't want to go down and dig out the receipts. It does have the removable handle with the heavy barrel. The M1A is the loaded version. Both guns are great to shoot. If I had to pick between the two it would be the M1A. I like the 308 and the sound of that action as it comes back and slams forward. Jim
  11. Thanks Gump. Some have been handed down through the family. Most though were purchased by me over the years. Sometimes I just go down to the safe and look at them. They give me that warm fuzzy feeling when I see them.
  12. I typically only go to the Pro shows for powder, bullets or other odds and ends. It's been a long time since I found any good deals on guns at one of their shows. There seems to be more junk and non gun related stuff at them anymore. I have been a member of the "Ohio Gun Collectors Association" or OGCA for a long time. Not as much junk and a better quality of guns also. I guess it all depends on what type of gun people are looking for. Jim
  13. I don't have a group picture of all my guns. So I put them up on Pbase to view them there instead of attaching all the single pictures. A lot of years of selling and enjoying guns and knives. http://www.pbase.com/dstegjas/odds__ends Jim
  14. I don't know about riots, but I have no doubt they will give him a lot of crap tonight. Should be interested to see how bad it gets. Jim
  15. Thanks Max Power. This one will be a restore for me. This is the first time down this road for me. So I thought I would just clean it up and bring it back into running condition. There are a few things missing but for the most part it is all there. There is a lot of surface rust and rotten rubber. Rust in the tank that has to be dealt with. The clutch is also frozen up. It has set for over 15 years without being moved or started. I have been taking pictures from the time I off loaded it into the garage. So I will post the pictures for anyone that might be interested. Jim
