Gun Informational Reference Thread - For New and Veteran Gun Owners
eggs replied to chevysoldier's topic in Dumpster
Good points Isaac's Papa. +1 on all of them. Carrying a firearm is a very serious responsibility. That brings me to the important issue of "duty to retreat". I think it means if you have a firearm and can get to safety and not escalate a situation, then you should. For instance if soemone is threating you and you leave and get your firearm, then they try to hurt you so in "self defense " you shoot them, then you could be held liable. INAL (I'm Not A Lawyer) but I think..that's the gist of it. -

lol thats pretty cool , /Thread Jack/ I was camping this year by hocking hills and the ranger station had humming bird feedings set up everyday. What they did was they kinda trained the birds by putting feeds out at the same time everyday and when they had people come out , the gave all of us little feeders, It was cool because you held out a small vial of sugar water (the ones they use for single roses @ the flower shops) and the humming birds would come over (if you sat still enough, and usually within a few minutes) and drink right out of the vial. I was amazed @ how loud they were and cool looking up close /end threadjack/

Ohio Supreme Court upholds law that lets state set gun rules
eggs replied to chevysoldier's topic in Dumpster
we go close to getting that passed . Hopefully it will come up for ballot again soon. -
Good luck on your purchase Buying guns are fun. I will add tho the last few guns show at westland a large majority of the dealers did background checks and there were only a couple tables that advertised themselves as private sales = cash and go. if you buy a gun and ammo, just keep it unloaded and the ammo in the trunk

From NBC4: Thirty-three-year-old William Liston of Aurora was arrested Christmas Eve in suburban Cleveland. According to WJW-TV, he told officers, "Ozzy Osbourne and his music made me do it." Liston is to appear in court Tuesday on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired. In an unrelated case, Liston pleaded not guilty Thursday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court in a November break-in at a suburban Solon medical office. He was released on bond. Liston could not be reached for comment Thursday. Calls to his home went unanswered. http://t.co/2Kx6kLs

Ive been to NASR .a few times the vid wasn't too bad.it was about 10 minutes long. I think it was about Range rules and some safety tips i think.. i don't exactly recall i was doing mystery science theater 2000 impressions most of the way thru it. The plus about NASR is you can rent firearms for fairly cheap. kimber=lust To the OP, The issue you may have with the range is since you are a new shooter it would behoove you if someone can help you with some of basics of handling and shooting a firearm. NASR that place IMO is too loud and to dangerous, you will see muzzle sweeps, noobs with high powered rifles tearing shit up. . I like to shoot bullets not catch them Just lots of scary shit there. I would rather shoot outside in the cold, and I hate the cold

The Bottoms Up beer dispenser could revolutionize the way bartenders serve up brewskies. Using magnets, the innovative machine can pour up to 44 pints per minute with just one personor hottie manning the station. The magnet used to reseal the bottom of the cup after pouring can also be customized by universities or businesses for a bit of creative advertising with the boozing. Block O? http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/12/how-it-works-beer-dispenser-fills-glass-from-bottom/
