  3. I cannot stand huffington post, all they do is hate on America and our founding fathers principles

#1. Minimum wadge is not to low. It should be lowered for anyone under the age of 18, and I say abolish it completely. Because when a company pays 15 cents an hour, guess what no one will work for your company.

#2. We have very strong labor laws in this country. The unions are the one who pushed for them, and now that we have labor laws, as compared to 100 years ago... The unions should go away now, they served their purpose.

#3 No one is making anyone put money into wall street. You can buy gold or homes as investments.

#4 Who do you propose pay for the free higher education. The professors are surely not going to volunteer their time, are they? Also, not everyone was meant to go to college. Should we be paying our tax money to send mentally challenged kids to college, where they are set up to fail? What about kids that have no motivation or kids who like physical labor. Should we send a kid who wants to work landscaping or in a mine to college? No, it just doesn't make sense.

#5 Not going to comment about prison because I agree non violent drug users/growers should not be in jail. I will not comment about the other part because ill be deemed a racist.

#6 Tax structures do not favor the rich. The rich who' receive a modest salary pay middle class taxes yet their bonuses, are hit with capital gains taxes, which makes is equal out in the end. But I am also for a flat tax, with absolutely zero deductions available. 10% to the federal 5% to the state and 3% to the city you work in.

#7 Yeah most politicians are rich scum bags, look at Al Gore

#8 We do not need or want universal health care. It got so bad in the great white north that a majority liberals have been steadily voted out the past 5 years.

#9 If big money dominates big media how do all the independent news sources stay in business, cuz you know America is evil and wants to destroy small business.

#10 Well yes, America encourages globalization, Bill signed NAFTA........ And we tax cooperations to high heavens, so yeah u found another one I agree with, but the huffing and huffing post wants you to think it's really big business.

  4. well since I can't edit a post past like 2 min ago.

my diet is easy for me to stick too.  I stay away from fatty foods, carbs and anything with lots of sugar(this means most fruits too).  that means no more beloved pasta.  at least for a little while.  I read that eating whole grain pasta is better because it takes a lot longer to break down in your gut.  unlike the regular stuff which instantly turns into fat and increases your blood sugar levels.

so I eat whole grain pasta and sauce once a week.

I mainly eat chicken, green beans, tuna, corn, salads with fat free thousand island (kraft is good) beans, chicken fajitas with 98% fat free tortillas.  eggs, lentil soup, minestrone soup, tomato soup, granola bars, veg soup, wild rice and chicken soup, a few others I forget right now.

some olives, 2% cheese.  skim milk. lots of water, grapefruit juice (no sugar added).

there's things I'm leaving out but that's the main stuff for the most part.  I'm not someone that needs fine dining so this food is fine with me.

people sit and eat pizza and burgers in front of me and my cravings for it is pretty much gone.  I don't even feel like I want some.

You can eat as much fruit as you like with no adverse affects. Don't fall into the fructose is bad, bandwagon.

  5. Started out the year @240 5'11" big frame.

I always convinced myself that it was ok that I was overweight because I was so strong, and yeah I am really strong, just naturally I can lift a lot, move a lot etc.

Anyway I went on a fruititarian diet through march, april and most of may. I felt great but didn't lose a whole lot of weight.

So I just basically stopped eating any junk, and if I eat junk, I make it up in vegitables.

But enough rambling, I'm down to around 210 right now and I know if I started lifting again my waist line would slowly start to shrink again, but I did for the first time since I've owned this belt in 10+ year have to tighten it up the other day.

I really want to be 190 when my baby girl comes in November and eventually 175-180.

  6. I use to average 2-3k a month during yard sale season. It's people's junk they don't want, they'll take anything for it. I paid 35 dollars for a fender steel lap, turned around and sold it on eBay for 4,500, that was my best score ever. Usually I'd stick to 35mm camera and related equipment, still a decent market for it (well back in 2005-2009), but with all these stupid storage shows now people having yard sales think their crap they don't want is worth way to much money and don't work on prices.

  7. So I talk to a kid in the restroom, after we've both pissed and washed and I get some flack here. but scruit actually touches two minors in the bathroom, before washing his hands and that's okay? Lmao!

key here is you followed him, you're very lucky he didn't clock you
  8. I haven't been down in 3 years and was very disappointed, as I had my 75 cb550 at the time and could not find any parts worth while, luckily I got in for free and didn't waste money besides time and fuel.

  9. To elaborate on copper plugs for a quick moment. Copper plugs burm more completely, so when you your o2 sensor sees exhaust gas as rich from inco, plete irridium burm its going to adjust for less fuel, not a huge difference but it helps. When I wemt from irridum to copper I notice overall better performanc3 and a mileage increase from 30-32 averages to 35 average. I did the initial switch at 20k and now have 130k and I am still getting 35mpg, changing plugs every 20-30k

2006 ford focus 2.0 durTech non-vvt manual transmission a/c and conventional poeer steering.

  10. Hate t

Long story short - Friend and forum member talks me into buying 5.3 V8 Chevy. Says it gets 15-18 MPG. Truth - 13 MPG driving like my granny is sleeping in the trunk. FUCK!!!

What to do to make a FI engine get better mileage?

    Truck only has 67k

I bought new plugs ($7/ea.! Iridium) damn E85 engine! Supposed to be good for 100k.

Planning on new wires. There is no cap/rotor. Each cylinder has its own coil instead.

    Bought new fuel filter.

Will be needing new tires soon - any suggestions?

What else can I do? Is this just the "true" mileage of the 5.3 and I'm screwed?

Hate to say it but iridiums suck. Find the copper core equivalent part # and go one step colder. Gap just slightly wider than factory spec.

I have done tons and tons of research and experimenting with this. The problem with iridium spark plugs is right on the box. The best performance/mpg/power over the life of the plug.

Only problem with copper core is they need to be changed every 30k, but at less than 2$ a piece you still come out ahead.

Copper is the most conductive metal that spark plugs are made of and the old time engineers knew what they were doing when the used copper.

Using a one step colder plug is better because it allows the plug to cool down quicker and prevent pre detonation during the next combustion cycle. The only problem is if the factory spec is already using the coldest plug possible you may run into fouling issues.

Gotta run to work, ill post more information tonight

  11. I see the future..

    No hits at 3500

Lowers it to 3200, still no hits

Lowers it to 3000 gets some intrest, offers from 2500-2900

Kicks himself for not taking 2900, lowers it to 2800 like every single sv650 on craigslist, but wait its now September and no one is paying 2800 for a bike in September. Lol and he takes the first 2600 that comes along
