stock weight is 2300lbs, the engine making 200 horsepower STOCK, lets just assume 100hp only from boost, exhaust, intercooler, etc, 300 horsepower. 2300/300 im not a math wizard but its not bad for a car i still only have $2500 in......
would love to put thousands up against.... do you even own a motorcycle yet? i just remeber you and your B/F ringo going at it about which night is date night or whatev..... lets keep it friendly
planning on 50 trim garret ball bearing, intercooler, water/methanol inject, other odds and ends, its going to be alot of test and tuning before we break 12's im sure in the 1/4 mile.... but i've seen K20Z1's in del sols with a nice tune running 11.80's all STOCK
UPDATE: Ok going BIG TIME. Just picked up a K20-Z1 thats a TYPE-S engine, came with 6 speed short throw shifter and everything to do the DEL-SOL swap. Zamano racing helping build a 10 second car..... more to come!
UPDATE: I have a B18 Integra Type R engine and a built GSR 5 speed trans going in the car this weekend, also picked up a T3/T4 turbo, hoping to crack 12 second 1/4 mile.
Doing body work before I touch anything on the engine considering its in excellent condition. Actually the guy who sold me the wheels rebuilds honda engines and was telling me that a non VTEC is better for a turbo build which would be my general direction.... unless anyone knows about a chevy 350 swap..... LOL
Hey gang, Excited to have my new 93' Honda Del Sol i purchased from OR member madcat6183 (A+ seller!) For fun and everything I just wanted to post some mods and things that im doing to the car and hope to get some friendly pointers and learn a few things from more experienced board members, if im lucky make a few new friends!! Well on the first day I picked up a SWEET deal on a set of 16" enkei wheels for $125, that are a bolt pattern for the del sol. Hope to have some pictures of them mounted in the morning. Lots of plans for the car, i'll keep updates! Enkei Wheels
I'm open to suggestions.... I'm by no means a pro. I've never cut metal or welded anything. So if the spot to cut and block off is as easy as they say..... i'd say your best guess is as good as mine. Thank you very much sir for your offer, i can compensate.
Hey bump for an absolutely AWESOME ohio rider member! The car is everything I wanted... I cant begin to say how nice and helpful, informative... JUST GREAT! Love the car so much!! STAND UP GUY A++++++
I plan on buying an adapter to make it fit and yes I've read and sorta seen where the blockage should go. HOWEVER... i'm still searching for a welder/cutter/shop, anybody wanna make some extra funds??? BTW thanks for the input i really really apperciate it!
I did about 2 weeks worth of reading before actually pulling the trigger on the D&D. I'm all for the 2 to 1. Weight reduction, it looks better, since V-TWIN fires offset it shouldent be a problem for a single exhaust. I plan on keeping everyone posted with PICS all the way to the DYNO!
lol haha thanks I wanted her to hold the pipe so I could get a good angle with the camera..... "thats what she said". But yes I was hoping to hear about some people/shops that might be able to help me come up with a finished product. I'd really like to keep the money within OR.
