You guys missing the whole point, I don’t want to dish out or do tit for tat or anything, I am not offended by poking fun at typos and grammar etc, those are all inconsequential. I was Wondering if we were having some issues which I never realized. At least Packing over. Suspension adjusted for all the added weight. Almost as heavy as having a pillion lol  Feel better now. Literally packed half the house onto the back of bike. Wish I could just think positive and confident that I don’t need certain things. Huge can of chain cleaner and QD  and other crap, I dont know why I am packing it . Next phase of loosing control is when getting rained on 12 hours a day for the next 5 days straight 🤣

I am sorry Tim and Dan, just nerves. Yes I been long enough here and literally met everyone in person as well. Possibly I am mostly The target rather than the guy dishing it out at a ratio of 95 to 5. Have you seen me call out any one in the last decade I been here. My friend Danimal, it seems like all you do when logging in from remote parts of the world is to post a genuine update about your trip and to just shit on everything I post or just generally poke fun of something silly. We getting the outer fling from the craptastic down pour in plains and south forecaster sort of over predict most times. So we might be lucky after all. 

It’s like somebody playing sick joke, shitty weather,  exact 5 days , exactly the path we take 🤣

What if it rains? Let’s pack some rain gear, what is it’s too cold in morning, let’s pack some heated gear, what about this what if that happens, okay let’s pack this that and of course the other as well. 

So so much for minimalist packing, need tail bag 🤣

Keep it simple, small short freq wash is better and easier than long consuming power washer Sunday whole day affair kinda thingy. 

After every ride. Before bugs dirt grime all start to bake in 

use a hose use to rinse away all loose dirt and soak bike

optimum no rinse just few ounces as per instruction for two bucket of 2 g warm water / use 2 bucket washing technique. much better protection against swirls and scratches 

wash mitt to wash bike top to bottom and finish off the wheels with a sponge or another mf cloth. 

Use meg express spray, spray on the wet bike bike itself and wipe clean. Helps are quick dry and quick detailed. This can be used every where seat body chrome what ever. 

Once in a while use optiseal for longer protection. 

Wd40 for chain cleaning then lube up that’s it 

The whole process takes less than 20 min

since it’s easy doesn’t feel like a chore and becomes a habit. 

Keeping products minimal also helps finish work faster 

no need for pressure washer and stuff, mine is left unused last year after I discovered that optimum no rinse wash, I was skeptical first but saw how good it works. I even wash cars in winter with this stuff without damaging paint right inside garage. Less messy and easy. 

The basic principle keep it simple, make it freq short interval wash for always squeaky clean bike.

Just about a week to go, going to attempt minimalist packing to keep everything in saddle bags to avoid tail bag. 

Loving all all the rain happening now, I hope it rains cats and dogs now so next week Mother Nature tank runs empty.  

Yesterday Was the first ride on the new bike since I had it all these days all I did was just putz  around local twisty 100-200 miles a best. today was the first day of 450+ mile day, I was waiting to do such a ride and to ensure I was good enough to take the long way to gap and back, still capable of technical unknown roads and ride it with ease and not “mental blocks”. I finally am getting the hang of this bike, the little missing point was just 20 mm risers just to put the elbows &  wrist at the sweet spot angle. I am ready for gap trip  

the trick of being “non committed “ and fooling myself is helping as well, as in I just don’t think I can make it to the ride, I tell others I probably won’t make it,  and just go to sleep thinking don’t have to wake up to ride. And in fact ended up getting some sleep. Yesterday rode whole day without 5hr energy drink. Can’t remember when was the last time I went on a ride with at least 4hr sleep prior night lol

now all it needs is weather to be ready for next week. 7 days to gooooooooooo

Just wondering if anyone planning to ride on Monday. I know it’s a  family day / cop magnet day etc  but just casual cruise if anyone planning please post up or pm. Trying to get some more miles under the belt before gap trip to get used to the bike. It still feels very different compared to the others which I got used to pretty fast.
