  1. Its this kind of attitude that drives off some of the best people for this forum. Everyone bitches and complains not enough people go out and race. Or not enough people talk about car stuff, and here we are chasing away all of the people that could potentially benefit this site and make it better. Not everyone is amazing at introductions, I personally hate them. Doesn't mean he won't be a valuable member though. He is signed up for our next track day, so in part he is already doing more for this forum than most of the people here.
  2. My Firebird is getting a lot of modifications done. :masturboy: Looking for a fun summer daily as the truck isn't very fun for a lot of short trips every day.
  3. The forsale section is still up and running. Welcome back to CR!
  4. Welcome to CR! My car thanks you for the parts.
  5. Made a little progress. I installed another dash pad in the car. And we installed a Hurst Comp plus with a UMI short stick and Hurst shift knob. It made a huge difference. The stock shifter really sucks! A bunch of the parts we ordered for it came in, just need to make some time to install some of it.
  6. Fixed. On the previous firebird the rockers where crushed. It had been in a front end accident. It met a ditch and ripped up the bumpers.... it had 170k miles, it wasn't worth sinking a TON of money into upgrades. I wanted to find one that hadn't been wrecked, that was completely stock, and a good starting point for making it the way I want it to be. Not someone else's project.
  7. Yep! :masturboy: Yeah you probably did. I left the westside around 11.
  8. http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b584/Formulized/form2dynostock_zps7edd9f36.jpg 289/303 A/F was way lean. The car will get Seafoam and MAF cleaner soon. Then the modding starts.
  9. It's about time I start a thread about the project car. I had been looking for a clean Firebird with some miles on it that wouldn't exactly be a "collector" car, but one that wasn't abused previously for a turbo build. A friend of mine stumbled upon a 99 Formula getting ready to go to dealer auction with 112k miles. We got too good of a deal to pass up. Car is completely bone stock down to the paper filter. Only thing it had, was window tint. Repair wise - It needed a window motor (which was installed this morning). The dash pad had cracked (We bought a replacement last weekend) and the door panels had cracked (Also found replacements last weekend). Being a Columbus car its whole life it has 2 rust spots that we have appointments with fellow CR members to have fixed within the next month. Outside of that, very solid car. Today we will be putting the car on the dyno to get some completely stock runs for future comparisons. CR's Car Show

Aug 3! Save the date! More info to come.
  11. This is the location I have been talking with.
  12. Trying to get an idea of how many people would come out to an event at Dave & Busters. We would be reserving a party room for aprx 2-3 hours on a saturday night. They would set up a buffet for the group. And also give each person a $15 power card. Drinks are not included. The price per each person would be aprx $30. This event would take place in either late March or early April depending on the availability of the party rooms. This would also be something that would need to be pre-paid.
  13. Yes. Probably Jones. But we found out that this car was ordered from the factory WITHOUT the security system. They ordered the power windows, power antenna and locking system... but not the security system
  14. Never met the previous owner. Bought it from a dealership that was sending it to auction.
  15. This makes sense! It was missing both remotes but had both sets of keys. We have another factory remote for it but haven't tried programming it yet.
  16. It has stock everything, if it was modded I don't really see someone going to the trouble to put it this far back to stock. The car has been here in Columbus its whole life and has the rust to prove it. I am mostly curious wtf the holes where for. I never thought about the neon lights. lol Something I would have done.
  17. We bought another Firebird, 1999 - Formula 6spd, completely bone stock. After looking under it I am pretty sure it has always been completely stock. Here is something that completely puzzles me though, next to the traction control switch, there are 2 perfectly cut out holes where someone has drilled through the plastic. Normally you would think Nitrous switches. But there isn't any evidence the car has ever had anything done to it. My question is, what else could have possibly been installed in this location?! http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/holesinconsole.jpg
  18. Looking for a set of 245/50/16 tires or 255/50/16 tires. May also consider a cheap set of wheels with tires that would fit a 4th Gen Firebird.
  19. I have reserved the party room at City BBQ from 6:00-9:30pm Friday Feb 22. Come hang out and enjoy the food! 5979 East Main Street Reynoldsburg OH 43213
  20. Bump! Trying to clean out the garage and finish some projects. I am sure some little kid would love this thing!
  21. One of them is a BFG Comp T/A 255/40/zr17. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/tirestoycar001.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/tirestoycar002.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/tirestoycar003.jpg The other is a Uniroyal 235/70/15. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/tirestoycar009.jpg FREE!
