What is it you are wanting to see more threads about? More people bitching and arguing or what? Do you not like being able to read threads without scrolling past 50 troll posts? The only thing that has changed is, we no longer allow trolling posts in every fucking thread on the board. The moderation is now stable and consistent in whats allowed. If you want drama in every post then go to yellowbullet or Dovers boot camp. :dumb:

You will cry your eyes out when it leaves, but once you get to go fast in the Firebird it will make the pain go away. I regret selling absolutely every single car I have owned (except the mustang). I think so too. We only have 2 cars and a truck. Well I guess this would make 3. I am going to ban myself from looking at cars now. I was sitting here drooling over this car when Anthony came home. Showed him, and now it might be coming to live with us.

This is something that has been discussed MANY times over the years without it actually getting put into action for a variety of reasons. We are starting early this year on preparing for track days and other events. What we need to know from YOU is if we would spend the time and effort into setting up an Autocross event, how many of you are serious about coming? Based on our current schedule of events for this year, we could probably make this happen in May or June. As of right now we are looking at all possibilities of doing this event, which include: with another group/club, just gathering some people to attend a public event, or if there are enough people serious to commiting to this - trying a private event. Lets hear from you - thoughts, opinions, etc. Also - please state if you have ever been to an Auto-X event, so that we have an idea how many people would be trying this for the first time.

The strut mounts are broken on both sides of my GTO. It makes cracking noises when turning sharp. I had Cordell do a full inspection on the car where he works at right after we first bought it. Most issues where taken care of grudgingly by the dealership we bought the car at, except those mounts as I wanted to do after market. (Biggest issue with the car when we bought it was the steering shaft was broken, from what I understand it was a costly repair, and they had to take the car apart twice as they half assed putting it back together the first time and I took it back.) The car is awesome, love it enough that I sold my Firebird. But the wheel hop issue seems like it is going to be a nightmare to deal with. I guess once we get all of the stuff done to it that we have planned this spring, i'll see how bad it is at the track before tossing a bunch of other stuff at it. :no: I'll probably be PMing you after the first track rental.

Lots of good info in here. Thanks everyone! I have a transmission cooler, completely forgot about it though, I need to get that installed asap. The battery was "weak" on the car when we bought it, so the dealer replaced it under warranty. Hopefully with one that doesn't have issues. I think i'll focus on upgrading the bushings and mounts. Getting the car tuned. And adding a few minor things that it lacks as a starting point and then take it out to the track this spring and see what else it may need.

I am sure I will miss the Firebird more than you did. But the GTO is fun right?!
