Does anyone have any idea on a couple that was there from indy? The wife of one of the riders got pictures of my bike going out into china, So much was going on that I forgot her name, nor do I remember the photos. lol

video trying out the chest mount.. Obviously could try using it a little higher to avoid viewing the tank when tucked but I thought it turned out pretty sweet anyways

I did my own photography with my go-pro.
Instructions as follows...tuck front end flying into turn 10, tumble across pavement like a frozen turkey shot out if a cannon, have bike/camera spin around in the grass to catch the whole ordeal. Have corrective wrist surgery and repeat in August.
Funny thing is my left hand sticking out in the pic is what slammed into the ground during my tumble and broke my wrist.
Damn dude that's no fun.. Atleast your gopro was working lol. Heal up fast!

Dayum, glad you are ok! The bike start flipping as after it crested the hill?

What a crazy day.. I went down in turn 8 in the second session, just lost my front end at the apex.. Luckily just lost a grip and bent a clip-on tube. Thanks to Phil hooking me up with a clip on tube I was back at it by the 730 session. I said I was going to go out at 8 for the last one and play around for 15 min--Didn't even make it that long. I pulled into pit lane after 2 laps to wait on a buddy, ended up chasing him down.. Once I chased him down the back, I got into the braking zone, as soon as my forks compressed my front just tucked on me, straight up and down.. Happened so damn fast it was crazy.. I slid to the 100 marker and ran off the track and watched my sliding across and over the hill.. my Bike made it into the middle of china beach leaving a dust cloud for a few laps of those passing.. The plastics were still attached by the fasteners but off the bike lol.. Fairing stay snapped, the harness pulled apart clean at the connector.. Sub frame broke clean on both sides.. swingarm appears tweaked, gas tank smashed in pretty good. Any crazy enough the tube phil gave me was untouched.. Front wheel was locked up so we had to carry the bike onto the trailer.. I have lots of work to do over the next month.

Monday was COOOOLD. But, it wasn't bad. You had to watch the corners a tad in the keyhole exit, turn 8 and 14. But, everything was good. Until I got some stomach flu that put me down after lunch. I got two sessions Monday and went to bed and felt like throwing up all night. Tuesday wasn't any better with a knot in my stomach, but I wanted to ride the bike and sort it out. Got 3 more sessions Tuesday and got some good notes. Just wish I was in better condition to focus more... But, Tuesday after lunch was awesome!
funny you say that, my stomach exploded last night a few hours after i got home.. I've had a huge knot in it constantly ever since.. Finally feeling a bit better after getting off work today.
I was stoked that tuesday turned out to be good--was a bit worried when I saw raindrops on the way there. As the day went on, the grip improved. Hopefully the 26th will be even better

finally signed up for tuesday..the temperature keeps creeping up!

Can you use the fork cap extenders on stock internals or do you have to have aftermarket internals?
-
I picked up a fairly stock 07 gsxr600 a few weeks ago. The shock and forks are both stock, so I ended up ordering a penske 8983 double clicker yesterday. I'm unsure on what to do with the forks, so I'm looking for those on here that may have had experience with the 07 and the geometry setup. Does the 07 require the fork cap extenders? A friend has an 06 with the extenders and said it made a huge difference for him, but wasn't so sure the 07's needed it. Any opinions on what to do internally with the forks without killing the wallet?

in for the race school saturday and 2 sprints on sunday.

Did you buy the 07 Gix on the STT forum from Chicago? Pretty good deal there. Looks clean.
yessir! I thought so too.. plan is to atleast take a look at the spare engine and hope it's an easy fix to either keep as a spare or sell off for some extra $$

Just made the decision recently to go with MS series for the year.. picking up my (new to me) 07 gsxr600 on saturday and hoping to find a penske/ohlins before the first round... but if not oh well, looking forward to getting the feel for the bike and the first race on the 5th! will be #613

Videos of the bike starting up, idle & walkaround. Second video has the bike revving up after being warmed up. Keep in mind it was ~20 degrees upon startup so that is why the idle is high for a minute or so in the first video.

3800 takes it. Have a straight subframe that will be here saturday or monday at the latest.

bump..still available

3900!
-
I would've taken that $3900 and ran with it but then again me personally I wouldn't offered more than $3300 simply because I can get 08's for 4-4500
you didnt happen to buy that bike from the Cinci area did you?
No sir. And there are still 05-06s going for 5k...

I don't get it; its at the upper end of KBB value and in the winter still. Am I missing something?
Lol well with spring right around the corner, I figure I may as well keep it at the price I want toget out of it.. I had someone offer me 3900 the other night and I didn't take it. Once it gets warm someone will pick it up. As long as I can get a race bike before may I'm in no hurry.

Wtb 06/07 Gsxr Parts And 08 Subframe
in LBTS GLWS
Posted
Still need to find these parts off of an 06/07 gsxr 600/750:
-Tank
-master cylinder with lever
off an 08+
-subframe
(not sure why the guy before me had an 08 subframe+tail on it but it'll make it easier if I just replace the subframe and repair the tail)
If you can help me out please contact me at 419-ninesixone-7594
thanks!
