  1. Some pics from today. Not the best quality... Pymatuning Lake in PA South Denmark Covered Bridge in Ashtabula County
  2. Nice pics all! IMO, some of the best riding from NEO is heading into PA in the NW corner of the state. The roads in PA seem to be better maintained than those in Ohio. Great roads you were on Lost
  3. Al Z. Heimer, Great to see you on here! Thanks again for helping me out after the "incident" and for getting me on my way after Lordstown I ended up taking SR422 over to SR528 and up north. It was dark and foggy but I make it home w/o incident. And thanks for taking the lead on the way north. Your caution on the roads was appreciated given the conditions. Very smoooooooth Looking forward to riding with you again.
  4. Very nice! I'm sure your son enjoys the riding as much as mine does.
  5. We kinda expected you might after we stopped before breaking away. Good thing you put your RG on! It was pretty much the same wet conditions for Terry and I until we broke off in Warren. Glad you guys made it home safe.
  6. It's all good. It gave us an opportunity to ride a little more...on the same roads...twice! BTY, it was actually a really good thing we were delayed a little. Otherwise we would have hit that nasty storm that blew through earlier along our route and would have been pelted with hail and high winds blowing down trees!
  7. It was after we split off and the four of us headed north up SR9 (Great road by the way). Not saying that you were not smooth...I was too far back to notice! Perhaps a little "misguided" in finding the correct route though JK
  8. I saw you back there gearman. I was behind the person not a member of OR but joined us via Doc. The roads were definitley crap when we were going through...leaves and branches all over the roads and hail built up on the side. BTW Doc, the person leading us on the way home (can't remember his name) was super smooooth when the roads were dry. I was trying to follow his lines and I was ok until the roads got wet and then I was just chicken-shit to push it. Hopefully I didn't slow you and Conneaut up too much. I also was having trouble getting into gears 2 through 6
  9. 13 hours and just under 400 miles for me for the day from the shores of Lake Erie. Farthest I've ever riden and had blast. Just didn't care for the wet roads and dense fog that became worse heading north through Geauga County in the dark
  10. True...and it wasn't like it was anyone elses fault for rear ending me when I was stopped
  11. Back home at 8:45 after dense fog and night time riding. Thanks. And thanks to those that picked the bike off me and bent my shifter back to removing what was left of the windshield I was pretty dissapointed in myself for letting it happen. Stupid! I've never really pushed the V that hard and I was enjoying the faster pace. I think I got lazy and came into the turn too hot, locked up the rear wheel (I am a newb!) and slow slid until I hit he berm. The sign saved me from going into the ravine so it was a blessing. The bike ended up facing the opposite direction towards uncoming traffic. It was pretty much a blur after the rear wheel locked up. Glad I was able to ride the rest of the day. Got away with just a sprained thumb and a scratched up bike/helmet. I did notice that I like not having the windshield on the bike (clean air). I'll have to wash the dirt off and see how bad the damage is. It did crash well
  12. No laughing here . I'm not much more experienced than you it sounds like. Just look for the green bike that looks "different" from all the others
  13. That's awesome Josh! Congratulations on the new bike. If you want to ride down with us from the east side (3-5 iders?), why don't we pick you up at the BP Station (?) at the intersection of Chagrin Blvd. and Park East Dr.? That would give us easy on/off SR271 (and a chance to get out of the COLD wind for a short while.) My guess is 8:30-8:45.
  14. Hmm... Two wheels of Four? Do tell.... Do you want to hook up with us along 271 if you are on two wheels???
  15. See you there around 8:15. I'll need to gas up as I did not make it out today to fill-up before the sun went down. Anyone else from the east side of Cleveland? Craig?
  16. As someone else suggested, go get the HD V-Rod for the day or run over to http://www.eaglerider.com/vehicle-list.aspx before they close. Maybe not such a good idea on the V-Rod as you may not be comfortable with that much hp...
  17. I feel for you Josh If I had a spare bike I'ld let you use it just for the ride tomorrow. Does anyone have a spare bike for rent/loan? Perhaps you should have held onto the Buell for a few more weeks if you didn't have something else lined up... Now it's just
