I had the honda exhaust done with hi temp powder coat. It's flaking off, probably because it's chrome underneath.

Tried to paint a motor with It. Followed the baking instructions. could remove with my thumb nail. Not sure it's gonna want to stick to chrome.

Most dogs make good deterrents. If you're a random target and the scumbag sees big piles of shit and a heavy cable in the yard, they're less likely to intrude on your home with their scum-fuckery. Dogs also make a great alarm if they are somewhat trained, giving you time to arm yourself as previously stated. Finally if a dog is especially territorial or aggressive or if he has been trained specifically to protect the home from strangers that you did not show him you approve of, a dog will die defending your home. My dog is just a companion and might be a deterrent or alert but I don't expect him to try and protect my home.

The system I installed in my mother in laws restaurant works great, pretty sure it came off Newegg or Tiger direct. Night owl was the brand iirc. You gotta dig around to find one with a hard drive. The 4 cam dvr systems with no hard drive start at around $130. You can then plug a usb drive in and record on that.

The 4 camera kits usually come with an 8 channel dvr box. I looked into a pc based system and decided against it, you would need several ntsc input cards, plus software, plus a partitioned or dedicated drive and when it's all done it doesn't do anything better than an off the shelf system. You can set individual cameras to record constantly or record only when there's motion. You can also tie it into a home security alarm to be triggered by the alarm being set off.

Unless you're leaving the peoperty unattended for weeks on end a 2 tb system is overkill.even at the highest framerate a 500gb hd holds like 6 or 8 weeks of record time before it starts writing over the oldest files.

I looked over my old boss's xb1200 and yeah, didn't really see much to it. The belt drive and perimeter braking were odd, but when he explained to me how easy it is to get the rear wheel off and how that tapered excenitric thing works I realized the genius in simplicity of design that Erik used.

You can get a 4 camera dvr system with 500gb hard drive and wireless access with any device for less than $200. Easy as hell to set up.
