Cbus is a long trip from massillon on a supersport, and she is in now way show worthy, tank is different color than the rest of the bike, fairings are scraped from being dropped in the garage....

Might have to put my cb750 project together and make the trip.

I did all the work except the paint on that bike, its a great machine. The hid lights let you see for about half a mile, it has plenty of power and runs great.

As far as the cam wear issue, I'm right. My dad has an 85 magna and did his homework. He also corrected the oiling issue. Another issue on these motors is the seals on the clutch transfer shaft leaking oil, which requires removing the drive shaft and associated cases and gear, the water pump, and a few other pieces to access the seal that for no good reason must be installed a nd removed from inside the motor.

Thinking of borrowing money and a garage to restore this beast...will call wealthy father tomorrow.

People need to quit fucking with my whiskey. They put it in a bottle and seal the cap because its done.

The problem was they pumped hot, dirty oil from the transmission up into the heads resulting in premature wear on cam lobes and bearings. The best fix is an adapter plate between motor and filter with bigger lines up to the heads.

That actually doesn't look horrible, wish I had the time and money to take it on as a project bike.
