Same thing happened a few years ago in Ravenna. Guy in an SUV was searching the floor of his vehicle for a lighter, plowed through a group of bikes. I believe they were a group of earth dogs MC and their wives. A few died, many lost limbs. If they would publicly execute people for this kind of negligent homicide maybe drivers would pay attention.

That nighthawk would be a good starter bike. I wouldn't spend much on a first bike, you're probably going to drop it, and you well must likely sell it for something faster after a year or two. Never buy a brand new 250, you will lose your ass on it when you go to sell. Definitely take the safety course first.

Bike night is just a way for bars to sell more beer on a weds night. Do you think all those people at qsl would be at a bar drinking at 5 pm on a Wednesday if they weren't surrounded with their fellow jerk-offs? I've met far better and many more people here on OR than at any bullshit bike night.

TIM: after a week of riding I absolutly love this bike. Downloaded the service and owners manuals off tlplanet, restored my suspenders to factory and feels good. One thing I noticed is on the rear damper the adjustment screws were showing signs of fluid weeping past them. Not a ton of fluid but the screws are wet. After cleaning, adjusting and lubing the chain it seems and sounds ok. Would love to meet up and pick your brain.

It's not sand, its polymer media. Will strip off anything from carbon build up to polyeurathane paint. Will not remove Chrome, annodize etc....I'll find out what material they are when they ship and act accordingly
