Then you should let me take it for a spin. Only drawback I see is no factory luggage option, but if I love the bike enough to buy it I can slap some fabric saddle bags on it and use my tank bag. Maintenance has got to be easier compared to the vfr1200 and it weighs like 150 lbs less with the same power to the wheel. Not many of them out there used tho, so I'd be dropping $8500 for a new 2016 model from a stealership.

Very likely will be adding to the garage, been on my list for a while since I rode one 2 years ago........bad bad ass, so fast and smooth. With Givi ST601 pannier system.......not cheap but looks like made for this bike and they are very well built.

And just like that it's turned into adv mutual masturbation thread.

Yeah my bad....I forget this is primarily a sport bike forum and most members don't even leave Ohio, which is why I rarely frequent here any more. Good luck with your unicorn bike, keep an open mind.

After coming off of sporty bikes ...VFR, R6, CBR1100blackbird, FJR, etc, I would fully agree, and add that my giant 1200GSA is fun to chase sportbikes with, if a bit much to toss from side to side.  Then sit back, press the suspension soft mode button, hit the cruise and it becomes a highway machine.  Then pull off onto a gravel road, press the "enduro" mode, stand up, and suddenly you're dual-sporting.  And I can continue that for nearly 300 miles before needing gas!

Yes indeed....and THAT is exactly why I love these big ADV machines, so much like a Swiss Army Knife machine. I know they aren't for everyone, but the forum I am on is full of "ex" sportbike owners and "ex" cruiser/bagger owners. What year is your 1200GS, and is it the Adventure?

That year is not bad. I'd ride it. Its the body style before that, that is ugly as fuck.

Ha no argument from me, the V-Stroms have come a long way and are extremely refined and damn quick motorcycles. The latest 1000 even has cornering ABS, and was their first model to also have traction control modes. Yeah I am a fan, have yet to find another bike which can scratch all my itches so well. I have the 650 currently, love it to death but will have a new Super Tenere in the garage in the near future. :)

I think the connie, vfr and fjr are kind of ugly too but that's not what I base my bike selection on. I wouldn't own another adventure bike either, just wasn't my thing.

You likely haven't ridden a recent or modern ADV machine, they are nothing like the old Strom you sold me....neither are the latest Stroms. The new Multistrada and KTM1290 will keep up with and possibly take many supersports on the pavement, and then hit the gravel and hardpack roads "or worse" after handing out the beating. I could never get comfy on the C14, but it obviously is working very well for you. :)

  6. I highly recommend heading through the Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas, and then making your way to New Mexico. NM is bar none the best riding I have ever done, the scenery and the roads are second to none, and they are also practically no traffic anywhere "that can be good or bad LOL". You must hit the Devils highway in Arizona, it makes the Tail of the Dragon seem pretty tame in comparison. There is no question that you MUST hit Colorado, once you visit there you'all understand why. Head out to the West coast from there, then head North and hit everything up there on the way back home. :)

they say they endorse him not that he endorses them.

And that is totally fine, as they need to vote for somebody. I am sure that any non female, non biracial, or person of ethnicity beyond "Caucasian", would get their endorsement and vote. Trump is called a racist/bigot so much these days, it is hard to keep track of all the ludicrous reasons why.

Nobody's getting deported to Puerto Rico. Back to the original question.  Perhaps trump isn't technically a "racist"  because he avoids the slurs & such when speaking in public.  He's pretty skilled at walking the fine line.  His endorsement by the KKK & various neo Nazi groups speaks volumes though.

Please show proof of his "endorsement", all I have ever heard him say is that they too have the "same rights" of the 1st amendment as the other racist bigoted hate groups, they too have the right to protest/march/speak.........we don't have to agree with it or like it. There is a counter argument that Barry Sotero Obama endorsed the black panther party and the Muslim Brotherhood, so lets compare apples to apples eh? Google ALL the "very controversial" figures/people/leaders ole Barry had visit him at the Whitehouse during his tenure, it should very much concern you if it doesn't. Obama is the epitome of a wolf in sheep's clothing, and what a wolf he was and still is.......but his time is coming. ;)

  9. The DNC under Obama always blamed the GOP for everything, so really nothing has changed........expect the DNC is literally stonewalling and refusing to do their jobs, unlike which we the people have never seen the likes of. I am betting that some BIG heads in the DNC, "possible GOP", FBI, CIA, Killary, Barry Sotero Obama, and those under Barry.......are going to be rolling soon. The deep state corruption and cover ups "will surface", justice must be served and sentences must be carried out, or WE the natives will likely become quite restless.

oh for pete's sake I have to hear more about this...

I wouldn't call him "racist" as that term is so misused and totally mistaken these days, but he most certainly showed racial bias in "many situations" and has quite the devotion to the multiple versions of Islam. He did more damage overall to the African American community than we can even imagine, and he had one of the most amazing opportunities in the history of this country to help smooth things over from past transgressions. I guess I will call him a race baiter more than anything else, but of course that is the platform for the DNC anyways. We witnessed mental slavery for a long 8 years at an unprecedented level, and we ALL were affected by that and still fighting that fight.

  11. I am thrilled that you don't fully agree, also thrilled that you don't totally disagree.......we need more of that in this country. Being successful requires give and take, and the Dems don't want to secede at all, at least the GOP is trying somewhat. I am an independent, and I believe Mr President Trump winning, is most certainly a good thing for independents getting more of a fair shake at getting into office going forward. Term limits really does need to seriously be looked into, and there is no question we have politicians who need to be impeached.....but more than a few needs the balls to actually do it. If the President needs both mental and physical evaluations, why in the hell aren't all of Congress and Senators required to do so?

Yeah, not going to happen. Even most of the Republican party hate him. We need a president that can be respected and respectful. Trump is not that man.

(Leaving thread before I have to lose respect for more people.)

You don't have to lose respect for anyone, that sir is solely on you. Obama was beyond respectful, and look where that got us all?

The only Ruger I'll buy is a 10/22. I don't care for the triggers on their handguns at all.

Watching my buddy's BNIB (he cleaned and lubed before firing) Ruger ftf and fte with the ammo my glock, my buddy's glock, and my other buddy's MP ate just fine really turned me off to them.

Hmmmmm....I take it you haven't shot the latest LC9? Look up Hickock45 on youtube if you're not familiar with him, he is quite the fan of the new LC9 and it's amazing trigger. Ruger makes some of the very best sporting rifles in the industry, and I also love their .22 pistols.

Keep in mind, that sort of behavior is more along the lines of sociopathic rather than racist/classist. In fact I can almost guarantee he is a narcissistic sociopath, watching the way he conducts himself. You know, with my many degrees in doctoring and psychology

Sadly, tacit racism might be the preferable of the two when it comes to the leader of the free world. :|

No that pretty much describes progressive liberals IMHO.......you don't see conservatives or libertarians wearing pussy hats, being disgusting man hating feminists, or wanting open borders and free for all's and immunity for "all immigrants"......oh wait that is more along the lines of mentally ill or psychopaths. Nah Trump is no more narcissistic than any other successful rich individual, what sets him apart from the rest is that he has no filter. When he makes a mistake he fesses up to it, otherwise he stands by what he stands and believes, I have massive respect for that. He is doing some great things, and he doesn't blow smoke up the ass of anyone. He expects people to do their damn job, or they should be fired/impeached........period. It's about time we don't have a robot PC bought and paid for President, the founding fathers are no doubt very proud right now. Offend away Mr. President.......ACTIONS and RESULTS speak louder than words.

  15. The new LCPII is amazing with the new design, I owned an original for years and was quite fond of it. However.......I got rid of it last Fall for the latest LC9S Pro, and it honestly doesn't carry much bigger than the LCP. But the striker fired LC9 has one of the best factory triggers out there, and it's hard to believe a single stack micro 9 can be such a sweet shooter as it is. So I most certainly recommend that over the LCPII, but a .380 is no slouch with the latest ammo tech. The Walther PPS is an awesome pistol "as are all Walthers", but most certainly not a better pistol over the LC9S in particular for the money.......my opinion of course. ;)
