You did well bud, I doubt you will regret that purchase.

I stay out of Church these days so it is not an issue for me, but I typically carried when I attended.

The Aerostich Darien Pants have accually peaked my interest. Going to do some more research and see if it is indeed worth the extra cost.
Look at the AD-1 pants, that is what I am about to order. One of my buddy's has those and the other has the Darien, they were the only 2 on the Maine trip who stayed totally dry and never had to take out liners or put on Frog Toggs. You get a lifetime warranty on the Gortex "it is the best period" and you also get made in the USA gear which they stand by their products. They do any and all repairs and alterations, there is a reason why hardcore riders and ADV riders buy and where Aerostich.

I think you misspelled Harley when you filled out the bike part of your profile.
Oh for sure, we all know that the correct spelling is "Hardly".

Isn't it a better option than not carrying?
Yup it is, but why limit yourself? That would be like always driving around with a half tank of gas or less, but yes it will get the job done.

if the weight is that big of an issue, leave a couple of rounds out and carry a spare magazine in your hip pocket...
I am also quickly learning that holster choice is huge when it comes to comfort of carry. I'm really close to buying an alien gear cloak tuck 2 or 3. Can't find a bad review of either.
Leave a couple of rounds out, carry a spare magazine? That is not a good or even smart option, but yes I fully agree that holster choice makes a world of difference. Carry often is the best advice I can give people, but without question the right holster can make a night and day difference in both comfort and overall confidence in carrying.

Sleeping is necessary and a natural state we must enter, ingesting carcinogenic smoke however is not a natural thing to do. Relax.......we are all gonna die.

I purposely didn't use the number because I can never remember it
The 43 is no pocket gun, although the LCP truly is. The LC9s is a great shooter as well as a great deep conceal pistol, and the new Glock 43 is the smallest and most compact Glock yet.

My bud Steve enjoyed riding with you guys Saturday, he can ride that big GS.

I don't understand why "dealer support" is even an argument ever these days. It's 2015, not 1955. He's buying a used bike so warranty likely isn't an issue and how often does a major recall happen? The internet exists for parts and I can name at least 3 people within 30 miles of me that I would let work on my bikes before any dealer.
Is there something I'm missing?
I take big trips and many times am far away from home and dealers I trust, so yeah it matters to me personally. I don't trust bikes from Europe "period", so I reckon that is another bug up my ass. LOL
Some great choices out there for all of us, but I could never throw a lot of coin at a bike I don't fully trust to ride anywhere and everywhere. High maintenance European super models, they look damn good and are stacked with much sex appeal and really put out until they all of a sudden stop doing so for many times stupid reasons. I work on my own bikes for almost anything, but I like knowing I have the option of accessible dealer support if I am in a pinch. For those that only ride local or are looking to do track days, then the gourmet bikes are a fabulous choice. Don't get me wrong and think I would never own one, it's just that I could not have a super model as my primary bike. If it has 2 wheels I like it, we all obviously have different tastes and desires in the bikes we like and own.

OK.....what you describe for your wants and needs, sure sounds like an FJ-09 to me.....plus it is a triple and will likely be much more reliable with better dealer support than a Triumph.

My Bro in Law is.

I live very near Easton, and I for sure do my best to always avoid that area. Teenage hell, trophy wife hell, gangsta wannabe hell, snobby rich folk hell......yeah that about covers it, other than the insane crowds.
