Hardly a straw purchase "not even close", no official paperwork and not an FHL transaction. Personal transaction and firearms dont have to be transferred or even registered in Ohio.

I will be there 3ish, maybe get to meet you too. I know it is a bit of a drive, but Ohiovalley Outdoors in Lancaster has a really nice range, with a good assortment of guns to rent. Just throwing that out there, and I am not a fan of indoor ranges.

Hopefully we can agree on a few things tomorrow.

Except for the new Gen IV, Glocks are a horrible horrible choice for small hands. Now if I were a betting man, I would bet she would really like how an M&P 9 compact will feel. I also agree 100% with Todd on the PF-9 as a good choice, fit great in the hand and are very reliable, just ask the Martin family. But 22 pistols are so much fun, some really great choices given for those.

Oh dear Lord here we go........what caliber other than .223 or .308 has killed more people since WWII than a 9mm? And let me shoot you with a .380 or a 22 and see how you fare. I get what you are saying, but even a 40, 45 or 357 won't always stop a drugged up person wanting to kill you. Shot placement and shot placement tends to get the job done.

I am very familiar with the Superhawk, and it isn't a good bike for inexperienced riders, and damn I would love to add that to my garage.

Shotgun for home defense........ 22 pistol for having fun, can always go more powerful later if ya catch the bug. Why not get a carry permit, not safe out there no matter what "some" members here choose to believe.

Ah pistol......comes down to what you want it for, and the best fit/feel and confidence inspiring piece. I am confident any number of members here would be very happy to let you shoot a variety, no doubt you would find yourself a nice toy. You will know when you gel or don't gel with a pistol......trust me. Good for you showing an interest.
