  1. Seems I have been one of the few not belittling him and being an ass, so not sure what you are talking about. And I am trying to protect him, going from a 250 to a "racebike" is a huge jump........if you don't agree you are nuts. And I looked at the dyno numbers for 5 2011 600cc supersports, and every single one of them exceeded 100 hp, yes it was at high RPM but that is where they live at do they not? It is ultimately his choice no matter what, but there is a tiny part of me that hopes he will end up making a good choice for a fun all around scoot.
  2. Awesome state......awesome!!!!
  3. None of those are sport touring machines, and everything you have mentioned can get you in trouble really fast. You realize that those 600's are all putting out 100hp? Not gonna be highway friendly at all unless you are in the twisty bits..... think racebike friendly. Seriously consider what I have mentioned, might also look for an SV650 "they are stupid fun" and I doubt you would get bored with it. The FZ6 is comfortable, powerful, fast, smooth, and as reliable as a hammer. Have a friend that tours everywhere on his, and can really hit it hard when the road gets crooked. Something to think about is all, the supersports are race bikes with a headlight and turn-signals, and are not practical or smart for probably 80% of riders.
  4. That is looking good! And as Urban Meyer has already said "you have probably seen as good as we are going to be this year". Miller is only a Soph and has sick talent "and getting better" and has HUGE potential, the defense however does have some work to do. A win is a win, don't forget how ugly the winning season was for the last title. Young talent, fast talent, and Meyer is really catching the attention of many SEC recruits. This is a building year, and don't be surprised if the Buckeyes beat Michigan this year "overrated".
  5. MSF course is always good, lots of practice and patience after that. Ride within your comfort zone, and try to hook up with some experienced riders for a small group ride. Trackdays are not necessary or needed, all that does is eat tires and burn through your wallet.
  6. Gotcha....wish I could give you some good routes off the slab, but can't say I am real fond of that part of the country or those states. Now if you were heading up North like NY/Penn/VT/NH or Maine....then I might be able to help ya. Good luck on your qwest for some good routes, and try not to get yourself killed in either of those states.
  7. If it is the state of Delaware, I guess I would have to ask "why"?
  8. Talk about shitting on somebody's for sale thread. Like the guy or not, he has been nothing but honest about the bike IMHO, and has even taken good advice. His choice to go with a more powerful bike, whether we agree it is a good idea or not. GLWS, just don't go too crazy with your next bike. Not sure what style of bike, or how many cc you are looking at upgrading to? I would put the Yamaha FZ6 pretty high up on the list, Suzuki Vstrom 650, or maybe the Kawasaki Versys.
  9. I see your point.........and kinda agree.
  10. He "actually" thought he would get away with this?
  11. Too dry, you need some lube on that.
  12. Pot for everyone!!!!! And my son was just telling my wife and I about this exact shit "smiles" over dinner this evening, he said it was bad shit and the next big thing. LSD was pretty much the worse stuff I ever heard kids messing with, well and the occasional snort of booger sugar if they could find or afford it.
  13. Really like it on my WR, this stuff will be my chain ointment of choice going forward.
  14. Very nice!!!! And Aquaphor is the ointment of choice for most shops, put a light coat on and don't go crazy with it. When it starts to itch, resist the urge to scratch, and only use your soapy hand to clean it in the shower.
  15. First mistake.......and why not just do the wheels?
  16. Those are almost bulletproof lil engines, sure she will enjoy!
  17. Pokey

    love it!

Sounds good to me.....and I am looking to be making a bike change soon.
  18. And reliability, and a car company that is still in business.
  19. I wouldn't have been riding with him to begin with.
  20. Good luck with sale buddy, Im sure it won't take long. Kinda shocked you are selling one to be honest. And to those that don't know the seller.....if he says it is absolutely perfect, you can take that to the bank.
  21. Doesn't have to be an Sti, matter of fact the WRX is preferable for most.
  22. Nice.....looks like I would've had fun.
