Plastic is not that bad if that is scaring some off, this is a great and fun bike that needs a new home. I no longer have much desire to ride off road beyond gravel, so that is why I am selling.
-
My WR is a 2008 year model with 13,648 miles and a clear title, I would like to get $2900 for it or make me an offer. I would also entertain a trade as well, but not looking to fork out additional funds to do so. I am the second owner and know the original owner pretty well. He rode it as was intended by Yamaha, as I would probably still have it immaculate had I bought it new. LOL Mechanically the bike runs "GREAT" it is just that the plastic took a beating due to it being a true dual sport. If you want a pristine and immaculate dual sport, than this is probably not the bike for you, however it runs like a champ. Valve check interval at 26K, so only half way there to that point. These bikes are bulletproof and tough, not too many of them out there for sale. I am up front and honest about any questions or concerns, so ask away and thanks for looking! I have plenty of pics to send if interested, and willing to meet anyone local if they would like to see it and take a test ride. If I can figure out how to post some pics on here, I will try to do that. Yeah Honda has been so cutting edge lately and making bikes that consumers actually buy and ride.

Please stay safe and thank you for your service, and stay out of Illinois if you enjoy your freedoms and curvy fun roads.

The truth.............
-
You mean a bit like the Bo Bergdahl situation that also disappeared?
-
Pretty sure I want this.

The XDS is one helluva pistol, and that price is not bad.
-
I have a bike in mind as a replacement that I am hoping will pan out, otherwise I will be all over this VFR!!!!!
-
No way.....the V-Strom is not going anywhere. The WR just sits in the garage now, because I have lost all desire to do anything more than gravel and hard pack for off road......and the Strom does that beautifully.

You have to wonder if he might have messed with his own daughter as well "if guilty"?

House would be paid off, roll the rest into retirement.

The truth may never surface, and even if it does.......some people cannot handle the truth or will not accept it. Until people take responsibility for their own actions and decisions, this shit will continue to go down.

My family and I did a really awesome canopy obstacle course down in Florida this Summer, what a workout and it was a blast!!! I need to check this out, quite embarrasses being that I live in Westerville and am unaware of this.
-
Wtf this is seriously in Westerville?

Our troops will be getting sucked back in unfortunately, I really really fear that. They are already starting to be deployed, it is just not common knowledge yet. I agree that with massive air strikes we could inflict some serious damage, but we would also inflict allot of collateral damage which is what we always try to avoid. I say just arm everyone to the teeth over there who may be against ISIL, let them all fight it out and we will offer air support.

No question about the different training and skill set, so should Police have to be injured or wounded before they can protect themselves from an obvious or perceived threat? Many do make the right call when it comes down to it, but we only hear about the bad situations or the ones that the media has turned into a racial frenzy. This is another race baiting situation yet again, maybe any area that is predominately "non white" should only have non white law enforcement? Of course I am betting we would rarely if ever hear of good cop bad cop nearly as much, ya know especially with all of the color on color killing going on all over the country in major cities. We do have an epidemic for sure, and it is called crime and gang violence. So many bad choices are being made, and they are leading to very bad outcomes.
-
Well......it seems some do in fact shoot to stop the threat, it just takes emptying an entire magazine to do so. I will not pretend to understand what it is like to be in law enforcement or a trained soldier who is in a hostile combatant situation, but I am betting that many times they are not fully aware of what is going on or what went down until the smoke clears. Shit happens fast, shit happens really fast when you are being attacked and trying to protect yourself or stop a threat. And that adrenaline is still flowing even after a threat is stopped, but yet sometimes we still continue to be in attack or protect mode. If the officer assassinated him, then he needs to pay the consequences, but once again enters the realm of a "perceived threat". You happen to see the size of that Michael Brown, he ain't no baby. Chris Rock said it best on one of his stand up bits......and this goes for ANYONE.
-
And yet all throughout this country every single day, we do not hear of too many bad run ins with police and them abusing their power. But oh when they do it is all on tape and it is plastered all over every social media and news source out there. And I have to disagree with you on treating citizens like the enemy, because it sure seems to me like many times they are very much in fact the enemy....they are my enemy with many of the choices they make and the lives that they live. Choose to make a really bad decision or choice, and there are sometimes dire consequences to pay, stupid hurts man......it hurts. And the friends that I tend to choose and hang out with and especially my family members, are extremely unlikely to ever put themselves into a bad situation like what has played out as of late with certain individuals in the media. Break the law like some "choose" to do, and I have no sympathy for them if they get taken down by the police or by an innocent citizen trying to protect themselves. I agree that police can at times take things too far and we should be concerned, yet we should also be very concerned with the society we have become as well.
-
So police should just shoot to incapacitate huh? My feelings on the matter are.....empty the damn magazine in them. Police are not known for their overall marksmanship and accuracy, then add in a very stressful situation and things get worse. Police do seem to have to get hurt before using what many deem as excessive force, but easy for us to judge when we are not soldiers or in law enforcement. If somebody comes at me to do me harm or enters my home uninvited to do who knows what, you can be assured that I will be firing more than one round into them. Adrenaline is a crazy thing, and I fully believe in some situations we just blackout and are in survival mode.

No worse than bike night at Quaker Steak and Lube, now THAT is some pompous bullshit right there.

I think it looks like a hoot, and no doubt some real friendly and fun folks who love life will be there enjoying themselves.
