That is teetering on socialism........it is all about the "right", training has nothing to do with it and nor should it ever. Millions of guns out there owned and carried by responsible Americans, and many with little to know training or experience. This is not a problem, nor will it ever be a problem. Choosing to carry or not carry is your choice, but bad things happen fast and happen everywhere, do not be under any illusion that you are ever truly safe.

I would eventually like to add a V-rod to the collection, so see I don't hate all Harleys.

I try to avoid traffic and people, tends to help me avoid those situations. Open carry when you ride, or have a bit of holster showing.......it helps.

LCP in a pocket holster in jacket inside pocket, or my M&P and XD being carried in multiple ways with a plethora of holster options. I really like shoulder holsters, too bad people flip out in a public setting when they see them.

Adults many times cannot apply logic in an appropriate manner either, and many cases out there of kids being more responsible than their parents. We each need to do whatever seems appropriate and makes the most sense in our households, and firearms in my household has always been a given and a normality. Mine are just a bit more accessible is all, but I do take certain precautions depending on the situation. They are easily accessible and within close proximity depending on the room, doubt it would be obvious if you ever stopped by.

Hoblick for sure is the exception. The buyers experience is HUGE for Harley, and Indian may very well be in that league soon as well. If I were to throw big money at a bike like that, I would probably give Indian or Victory a shot over Harley. I will never rule a bike like that out one of these days, but I am just not into owning bikes at this point of my life that are so myopic in what they do or can easily do. I HATE LOUD V-twin straight pipes, and I think that is a big part of what the bug up my ass is about concerning many of these bikes. Now some of the dual systems like on a Road King and the other baggers, sound very deep and mellow which I really like allot. Most of the cruisers and baggers are just too damn big and heavy, less is simply more for me at this point in my riding life.

Lexus IS F "490 hp" Lexus LFA "560 hp" can only exceed 200 MPH or so. LS460 only has a meager 386 hp, and the IS 350F only has 305 hp. Seems you need to brush up on the old man cars a bit, that and they do not need to be in the shop all the time to enjoy that performance. BMW and Benz have some bad ass cars no doubt, but it will cost you in multiple ways. Give me a Nissan GT-R over any European sports car anyday, and we all know that car is no slouch.

Yup.....take my V-Strom and WR250R in the dirt and gravel all the time "and I tear up the pavement too", you will find a vast majority of guys and gals over on ADVrider to be very much hardcore and not posers.

I don't disagree with you in the least bit, I guess I have always had a very large trust and total confidence in my Son when it came to that. Hell he has kept his loaded Glock on his bed side table for a few years now. Not many of his friends ever came over here much anyways, and if he knew they were coming, any firearms would have been hard to be found without really looking. Never been too many instances of unsupervised kids or teens in my house, and I was always very responsible when it came to anything firearms related. As of Tuesday, my Son is now living at Ft Benning.....soon to be a full blown infantryman.

Have never had an issue at my home, and not like my handguns are sitting on a coffee table.
