It was a perfect day for the track! Finally got my lap times back down in the 1:47s when not in traffic... I'm still way too slow in the keyhole and carousel though. I'm pretty sure I can pick up a couple of seconds in those two. 

 

Track was hooking good IMO, seemed like they had most of the Indy rubber cleaned up. I've been out there before the day after and it was nothing like that. 

The weather for Tuesday/Wednesday is looking good, any chance they will have some of the Indy rubber cleaned up by then? Any damage to the track? 

 

I'm thinking Wednesday...

Going to try and go to this if it isn't raining. Probably just going with general admission and bring some folding chairs. Never been to a MotoGP race or Indy before!

Ah, just clipped the start of the curb a bit. I've almost done that a few times right there, guess I know what happens now if I do...

It actually did rain for a few min during lunch break, but it was completely dry for the 1st session after lunch.

50% chance of rain tomorrow AM. I'm out.

 

Sheeit, where are you seeing that? I didn't get shit for sleep last night so I decided on Tuesday instead. Every forecast I've seen is showing mid-upper 70s with a small blip, ~15% chance, of a shower around 1-2pm. 

Might be going on Monday, still not decided yet...

Any chance you would have a video? I struggle with that corner too sometimes, 

I had a great time during the Twilight and the first couple of sessions yesterday. After that my day went downhill. I should be back on the bike in six weeks or so though.

 

Did you go down? 

I ran in sessions 4-7 traction seems fairly good to me even when I was high in the keyhole and carousel, but I had more rubber in my boots than anytime before.......

 

Are you the guy with the REALLY loud supermoto? That thing sounds siiiick!

Did you consider getting a cheap race bike and tracking it?

I walk on all the time with gift certificates and they have never turned me down. 

Hopefully the sun will be out to heat the track up a bit... 

1:38s, damn that's quick! Sad to see a 3rd gen go down... What corner did you lose it in? MidO is so damn slippery when wet.

My bike now has even more different colors than before... Going to try and get a quick rattle can jobbie on it beforehand, but I don't think I'm going to have time. 

Anyone going on the 2nd? Weather is starting to look a bit better... I'm not sure if I can wait until late June.

Go with a cheap ass Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana. The cheaper models are actually quite a bit more reliable than the higher end models due to their simplicity. I've never understood the people who drop $1500+ on a damn dryer...
