My apologies. I walk a fine line between curmudgeon and troll. Sometimes it is even tough for me to tell. On a related note: it's been brought up before, but when is the internet going to adopt a universal sarcasm font? This is important.
I have a Puig double bubble. Love it. The double bubble is not supposed to be a "touring" windscreen. You still have to duck down a bit to get the full benefit but it's much better than the stock windscreen. Also, the fit and quality of Puig is worth the few extra dollars IMO.
Most intelligent thing I have read in a long time. Dear 8 pounds 5 ounces baby Jesus, new born, not even spoken a word yet, can we PLEASE post this as a sticky at the top of every motorcycle forum on the internet?
The deputy is now under investigation. I always give cops the benefit of the doubt because I know what a tough job it is but this one was out of line. He just let his emotions get the best of him.
I have yet to hear Roto-Rooter not give that speech. It's either that or you have a "low spot" which requires digging it up. Sorry I cannot offer any referrals in Dayton but definitely get other estimates.
That's awesome. The '72 CL I have needed a bit more work but I had a similar issue with the title. Looks like it will be sharp when you get it all back together!
Add me to the "punch in the face" list. I'm from Lexington and anything less than Woodford Reserve or Maker's 46 is swill. Luckily, Crown Royal is not Bourbon so there is no need to even make the comparison.
Book price for "like new" condition looks to be around $1600 for these bikes. This one is no where close to that. My original thought was to get everything fixed, shine it up and shoot for 1K. I have too many other projects going right now so that is not going to happen. I'm open to reasonable offers. I would like to sell it to someone who will fix it up instead of parting it out because it does not need a lot of work to be a dependable ride. There is a kit to convert the 175 from points to electronic ignition and some LED bulbs take a lot of pressure of the 1972 charging system. A few mods by someone who has time to tinker on it and the bike would be good to go about anywhere... still probably not on the interstate though
