  1. That video brings up a good point. We should either collect emergency contact info for people on the epic ride (or any group ride for that matter) or riders should carry emergency contact info conspicuously about their person.
  2. We do have an epic ride coming up...
  3. 3X for me...payment sent!
  4. Yeah, I checked my tires before my first ride this year and they were each 15-20psi low. Wouldn't know it by looking at them either.
  5. most of the headlines changed from bombings to explosions. We know how they like to jump to conclusions.
  6. God I hope this was a gas line accident or something! Time to ban bombs!
  7. I'm going to see about making it out there. Is everyone riding quads? Also, I'll need to get a permit sticker I guess...where's the best place to get one?
  8. To be clear, I wasn't criticizing her actions, just trying to understand and learn from it
  9. So the kickstand hit, forcing her upright in the turn and then she grabbed a handful of front brake? Trying to figure out how the kickstand caused a front flip? My initial thought was a partially engaged brake level causing the brake fluid to expand and lock the brake. Let's hope there are no incidents during the group ride.
  10. Yikes! Hope she makes a quick and full recovery.
  11. Right, might want to put a warning on the link title for the more sensitive folks. I was all like DAYUM
  12. Went to Shawnee with some fellas yesterday...had a great time!
  13. Kick in the nads for you!
  14. Another good question. And brake fluid, etc. Hamilton Co takes most household chemical waste and prolly other OH counties do too. It's actually scary to think of all the chemicals people prolly throw in the trash because they don't know where or are too lazy to take it to the proper place.
  15. Geez...I only have 4 quarts to part with. My Husky only holds 1.6 I think. Not sure about the ATV, that comes next. I've been putting the oil back into the empty bottles but I might just get a large container...it's a PITA to pour it back in the bottles.
  16. LOL, way to sidestep the nutkick!
  17. Curious as to where people dispose of their used motor oil? I know in Hamilton Co there are some drop off locations where they will accept it in sealed containers for no charge. I thought there were also some auto parts stores that took some in as well. I'm ok with paying a small fee for disposal if it's convenient for me. I used to always have a dealer do the service but recently have decided to start doing a lot of that stuff myself. BTW, anyone who says they dump it or pour it down the drain is getting kicked in the nads.
  18. Is a 600 for a newb on a bike too much - no. Is it too much for a newbie on a sportbike, IMO yes. If you had some experience at least on dirt bikes I would be inclined to say you'd be good to go as long as you took it easy as others have mentioned. 600cc sportbikes are just as serious as a 1000cc machine. I rode dirt bikes for a lot of years and my first road bike was a CBR600F4 and I was in my mid to late 20's at the time. The maturity helped me from ending up as road pizza.
  19. Yikes! http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=110552
  20. ^^^this Skip the Z800 and just get the Z1000. Best bike I've ever ridden/owned hands down.
