Must be for squids since they are never wearing gloves. Someone could probably make some cash by making gloves with this on it...people would buy them for the novelty value alone.
  2. I work in KY where the front plate is not required and since I work in KY and spend half of my week there, my risk is mitigated
  3. So don't do things like drive after a few beers? I have nothing to be fearful of if pulled over outside of a traffic ticket.
  4. I haven't had a front plate on my car for well over 10 years. Many cars don't have an actual mount for a front plate. I'll pay a ticket before I drill into a $60k car bumper
  5. We handle it as if it does not matter. What's hers is mine and what's mine is hers. She pays some bills, I pay some bills..bottom line is that they get paid. Though we keep our finances mostly separate, our discretionary spend is pooled between us and her income far exceeds mine (her last paycheck was equivalent to my annual salary and I make a good living).
  6. My dad more or less quit hunting when we lived in upstate NY and he nearly got shot one year and his hunting partner nearly got an arrow to the gut the following year. Too many idiots out there shooting at anything that moves. He still went out here and there but only when he could hunt on private property.
  7. H just enjoys the sport of it I guess. I'm the opposite, when I was a teen I was hunting with my dad and shot a deer. Caught up with it and it was laying there bleeding out and suffering before we got there and finished it off. Made me feel like shit even though we used just about every bit of that deer and I've never been hunting since. I have no problem with others doing it...I just don't want to see it happen. I'm too empathetic I guess. hahaha...I always say that... "beef jerky time" and no one but my wife ever gets it. Love that movie.
  8. The salt acts as a preservative. If you're not using a preservative, be sure you eat it within a few days or keep it refrigerated.
  9. I wish I had some venison. There's a guy at work that hunts but doesn't like it so if he bags a deer, I pay for the processing and get all the meat. He didn't get anything the year before and last year he was hurt and didn't hunt. If anyone hunts and doesn't have use for the meat, LMK.
  10. I have on occasion used a dehydrator but use 90%+ fat free ground beef and an extruder gun. It's just so much easier than slicing meat and not as tough when eating.
  11. Hey Steiny...pretty sure we've met before either at Cars & Coffee or one of the rides leaving from Wilder. Welcome to OR. I'm on LR & ADV as well.
  12. One I haven't heard before... A blind man walks into a bar. He orders a drink and relaxes. Later, he yells to the bartender, "Hey! Wanna hear a blonde joke?" The bar is now silent. The man next to the blind man says to him, "I don't think you should tell that joke. That bartender is blond, the person sitting next to you is a professional MMA fighter, I'm blonde and I am 6'5'' and weigh 200 pounds, and the bouncer outside is also blonde. Now, do you really want to tell that blonde joke anymore?" The blind man replies, "No, not if I have to explain it to 4 different people."
  13. At the end of the trip, you'll be all like
  14. 1980 called, they want their map back. That's a good route. You should plan to ride up through the Daniel Boone National Forest on the way back. I really enjoyed it when Tonik and I did it. Plus, it's a dam tour
  15. I haven't bought from them in quite a long time and even then it was because everyone else was out of stock. I usually stick with Newegg, Amazon, buydig or rakuten. Microcenter has stepped up their game as of late and since they price match a lot of things, I'm more than happy to go to the brick and mortar store to get what I need.

    Caper Error

This thread is full of fail
  17. Saw this advertised in a magazine. It'd be great for long rides. https://3brpowersports.com/xpwr.php
  18. I'd like to try one on... http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2015/12/23/clever-new-motorcycle-helmet-is-snap-to-put-on/?intcmp=hpff
  19. Investments are made from the money leftover AFTER hookers and blow. Assuming there is any.
  20. I'm going to keep dumping as much as I can into 401K and IRA's. When the market tanked in 08-09, I upped my contribution 5%. I'm far enough from retirement that bumps in the road like that will not impact me long term.
  21. I'm prolly going to place an order for the new MB GLC300 SUV today...I'll revisit the Tesla in a year or two when my wife decides she wants a new car. She just spent a bunch of $ expanding her business so I don't feel good about spending $100k on a car when our reserves are somewhat depleted. Truthfully, I'd have a hard time doing it even if that weren't the case. The good thing is, they seem to be holding their value pretty well...even the used ones are being snapped up as quick as they become available.
  22. My son is in HI (Oahu)...should I send him over to work this guy over
  23. Yeah...that's kinda where I'm at right now.
  24. So Tonik, if it was affordable for you, would you purchase one? I'm still feeling like it's excessive to spend 100K on a car, even though it's super cool. In the end, it's a method of conveyance from point a to b. They money I save by buying a cheaper car I could spend on other toys.
  25. That's a long time to wait...but worth it. She should've upped the ante though with a 12 pack's worth.
