  1. Same weekend as OR Gap Trip, otherwise, I would love to go haul butt on my 2009 RS125. Top speed 98 mph should be competitive. Maybe next year, we need to do the Gap trip on a different weekend than the loop.
  2. Welcome to OR. What could go wrong? 18 year old male riding 150+ HP motorcycle without any gear? I read the part about riding your whole life then reading the part that says you 'will be' 19. I had to laugh. Some people on this board have been riding longer than you have been alive. Probably good advice to listen to them. Chris
  3. I refuse to ride because I'm not good at riding????? Huh, riding and learning makes one a better rider. Good to see you are still coming. And those skipping out, you will regret it. The gap is a wonderful place to be. Great biking and car culture. A lot of friendly folks, food and twisties. Track days are a few times per month, easy to do another one of those before or after. Chris
  4. Rural King in Lebanon where old Lebanon Walmart by the YMCA. I don't think they have a minimum.
  5. Weather was perfect today. Can't believe more didn't show.
  6. Everyone should ride one at least once. It will change how you feel about cruisers. I wouldn't mind owning one as my 10th or 11th bike. I'm not a bar hoping cruiser guy.
  7. Diavel is the highest performance cruiser I have ever ridden but it still handles like a cruiser. Front end falls into corners, etc. Very fast, surprisingly fast, until you realize what's under the 'hood'. I took a demo ride one day on one and to/from lunch. OP: Buy a busa or ZX14. There are no other drag bikes. Both do okay in the twisties. Both are reliable, etc. Chris
  8. Agreed, and hate young (don't know your age) college grads. Especially if you are in a position that has influence or control over them. Recipe for misery. Low pay, no benefits, new position (which means they will throw the kitchen sink of workload your way) = no thanks. I would look harder and take any FT position in your field, regardless of location.
  9. I'll be there racing F4 and Stock NSR. Hopefully I get lucky and get to Super Moto as well. I don't think you will need a wad of cash. A hundred will get you a license and two classes and I think transponder rental as well. Chris
  10. I'd rather know. Sometimes the answer is positive, sometimes it's suicide...
  11. Good intentions bad wording. I appreciate the advice. I understand Indy is a great shop. I really like Chad at Commonwealth and since I still have 14 more months of free scheduled maintenance at Commonwealth, I'll stick with them for now. Chris
  12. As a fact, I do have a Panigale ABS. I got the first base model that Commonwealth received. I got a decent discount and two years free scheduled maintenance. I understand that Ducati Indy is a great shop too. Commonwealth appears to do quite a few race bikes, probably not as great for race prep as Indy BUT I'm not racing my 1199 and currently have no intention of doing so. Chris
  13. Won't go there again. Bought one bike there, bad experience all around. I happily drive to Louisville for my Ducati needs, which is triple the distance than going to Comp Ass! Chris
  14. Sure makes your SM look crappy. You should sell it, if I only knew a buyer.
  15. Thanks I looked there and seems a lot of 450's for sale now.
  16. Sounds like I'm an R kind of guy.
  17. Depending on price, I could be ready now or in two months. I'm pretty sure I want a CRF250R vs. CRF250x, but I don't know everything (yet).
  18. Looking to buy a Super Moto bike to race in OMRL along with my Stock NSR and F4 (NSF100). Not interested in a 450 (too heavy and too fast for cart tracks and my riding style). CRF250R would be perfect but open to others. Chris
  19. Sorry for being rude about cruisers. Let us know what you find out about the bike.
  20. F4 will be my primary focus, but plan to run stock NSR and super moto as well. We shall see how I fare against more seasoned Super Moto riders. I only have about 15 laps total practice in super moto on two different bikes. One of the best feelings in life is launching into a race at the drop of the green flag. I'm EXCITED!
  21. Eliminate the rider first. Let good rider take your bike for a spin to turn both directions. If they come back and say the bike is fine, it's all in your head.... BTW: Cruisers suck except to bar hop, but drinking and riding isn't exactly the smartest combination. Chris
