  1. Thanks Nivin for giving me a reason to break out of the office lol

Weather was perfect and the roads were great choices as usual. I've been dealing with a health issue for the last week and causes me to lose energy pretty quick and I was getting that feeling and it was becoming hard to focus so I found it best to split off and make my way home to avoid any incidents!

Bad, glad you got out today. I enjoyed meeting you today. Hope you feel better soon. You did good keeping up with Doc today. I did manage to stay behind you for some of it. Really appreciate you pointing out all the road hazzards along the way. Also appreciate both of you waiting for me to catch up at the intersections. Could not get around some of the traffic safely on the twisties. Will do it again. Glad you figured out the bike.

  2. Thx for waiting on me guys, had a good ride. taking the risk of riding with no sleep was well worth it. Jerry you would have loved todays ride, no butt off the seat stuff, just elbows and shoulder smooth turns, comfortable pace and an amazing day to ride. Wish i had the whole day off to ride. Nice to ride with you again bad, and thx for calling and checking upon me. Very nice to meet you john, hopefully you will be an active neo rider from now on as you already got the taste for the stuff. Full props to you for sticking to your own ride and riding safely on your first group ride.

Thanks Doc and Bad. Had a great time. It was great meeting both of you and riding. The day was perfect. Hopefully a few more days like this are still left over. Agreed, the pace was moderate but i stayed within my ability and it felt good. Will definetly do it again. Some day i might be as fast as you Doc...LOL. Thanks for putting the ride together. I dont know my way around those roads for sure!!! I was ready to be done when i got home but i had a lot of fun. Round trip ended being 180 miles or so.

  3. very good bad, so it was the battery. Or are u too ashamed to say it was the engine kill switch

    the details as of now:

Place and route based on who all interested

    As of now:

Meet up in Speedway: where 43/183 meets

Address: 8720 Waynesburg Drive Southeast, Waynesburg, OH

    Time: 1:00pm

Route: will be sticking to the good roads closer to NEO, will ride around 3-4 hours. I might keep riding few more if any one interestd. sunlight till 6 it seems

we still can work on the plans if more people are joining up.

Great, will see you at 1 pm. Might be running a bit late unless I can leave work a little early. Google says 1:15 minutes travel time to destination. Sometimes Google is a little off on their travel timing.

  4. Nice, hopefully we can get together, if the day is any thing like today we get enuff sunlight and temp to have a very good ride
I am also considering staying in the immediate good stuff just below canton, pretty good roads to have fun

Sounds good to me...can you post up a meeting spot and time and route?

  5. Nice, hopefully we can get together, if the day is any thing like today we get enuff sunlight and temp to have a very good ride

I need to be back home by 4:30 pm to get the kids picked up to go trick or treating. I can break off from the group as necessary. Hopefully can get in a good run if we don't go so too far south. Don't want to be the cog in the wheel though.:)

  6. Really hate to but I have to bow out as this is a long way to go for me with temps in the 40's to start. Was really hoping the temps would recover sooner, but just isn't going to be too much fun with it that cold. Ride safe and post up some pics and video when possible. Should be a pretty ride if the sun comes out.

  7. Dang, the Velocity channel for Direct TV in my area is channel 182, does not show up on my Guide. Maybe it is part of a premium package?

bump...Isle of TT races are on DirecTV channel 281 on the Velocity channel...wow, this is crazy racing!!! On now...

  8. I'm just west of Ravenna so if a couple people from that area want to meet up I'd be down for doing that. Looking to see how this all comes together as it gets closer.

Definitely trying to get a group together to go down from the Ravenna area. You from the Kent or Brady Lake area? Isaac Pappa is also interested. So far there are 3 for sure.

Sounds like there are a few of us, (3 or 4) from the Ravenna area that could meet and go down from there to Bolivar to meet NinjaDoc's group at DQ. I am interested. Anyone have any ideas tentatively?

  10. I might need directions of where to meet if I can come. My parents live in Aurora right by what used to be Geauga Lake.

Brownsfan1, I am not too far from you and I am planning my first group ride down. I am just north of Ravenna, actually Freedom Twp. probably 15 minutes from you. Maybe we could meet up with Issac Pappa from Ravenna and go on down to meet the NinjaDoc's group?

  11. Had my first tack day too...thanks Todd for talking me into just doing it and not waiting till October. I had a blast even though I was not as fast as anyone else. Learned a lot more in one day than many rides on the street. Thanks Moto Series for all the help and good advice. Would do it again. I also got to meet some new people too.

  12. okay, thanks for the heads up...will catch him later. Sounds like fun. I have read about some of the recent rides you guys did. Hard to get away on Saturdays when my wife works and I have the kids. May be able to plan it out if can get a sitter when she works. Will wait for the next planned ride.

  13. Anyone up for a short local ride around the Portage - Geauga County area this Saturday? I don't have any specifics yet, just want to ride around with someone with experience, weather permitting of course.

  14. Thanks for the welcome. I am new on the forum and new to riding sport bikes. It's been fun to read the posts from other riders. I purchased a used 2008 Yamaha R6S in May this year and got MSC certified a few weeks later. I want to meet other riders through the forum. Would be fun to go riding with others from the area. I am from the Ravenna area. I have been to Nelson Ledges Track to take in the racing events there as an observer two times. I live pretty close to there about 15 min. away. What a good group there. I want to do a track day sometime soon.:)
